It was a dark and stormy night as Keith was over at Pico's house for a bit. Keith was mainly watching the news on the television as he appeared to slightly be shaking. Turns out there were going to be heavy showers with thunderstorms, the news reporter stated as she directly stared at the camera.

Meanwhile, Pico was just browsing through his phone; not really paying attention to what that lady was babbling about.

Keith flinched as there was a sudden flash of light from the window, followed by a loud crackle in the sky. He seemed to shake even more as Pico began to notice this himself.

"Yo, you good?" Pico asked the other as he looked over at him. Keith nodded as he gave out a shaky sigh, "Yeah.. just... the weather is kinda.. unexpected..." He mumbled as another flash of light was seen through the window. This time a large crash could be heard before the lights went out, Keith yelped. "Shit. The power went out.." Pico mumbled under his breath as he turned his phone off, what's the use of that device when there's no signal now? 

Pico looked around in the dark as he felt something shaking beside him, of course, it was Keith. Keith wasn't really a big fan of thunderstorms, even as a young adult; it still scares him.

Pico sighed as he pulled the other close to him, in which Keith quickly latched onto him with a tight hug. Pico hugged him back, slightly scooting the other on his lap. Keith's shaking slowly began to cease as he was now feeling comfort instead of fear. Pico rubbed Keith's back soothingly to make the other feel a bit better. Keith admired the other's strange yet affectionate side when it came to him.. it made him feel special.

A few hours have passed before the storm slowly faded away, it was already around 2am. Keith was fast asleep in Pico's arms as he was n't shaking at all. Pico didn't mind Keith sleeping on his lap, more so hugging him as well. All that mattered at the moment was that Keith was comfortable instead of being scared. Pico kinda liked having him just hug him out of fear of thunderstorms.. it made the other seem cuter than he looks..

Pico didn't sleep at all in the next few hours. The sun was already rising as he just waited for the internet to come back.

All he's been doing was hugging Keith close to him so he didn't fall and just hummed to himself to not become bored. He had a reason for pulling an all-nighter (though thats for a future chapter ;0). a few minutes later, he felt the smaller male moving slowly. Keith began to wake as he yawned quietly, breaking the slightly tight embrace on Pico before focusing his vision.

Slowly but surely, Keith noticed that he was basically sitting on Pico's lap. Pico stared back at him, "Mornin.." he said as Keith's face slowly tinted light pink before getting off of the other.

"M..morning..." he mumbled, Pico chuckled quietly; "Man, I never knew you were afraid of thunder storms, dude. You should've told me sooner so I could hold you like a baby again -" He joked as he gave the other a cheesy smirk. Keith looked away from him, pouting and avoiding eye contact as he blushed in embarrassment;

"Shut up.."
