❝Poppy! Poppy!❞

Rosalyn Adore Black Ϟ

𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗡 𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗔 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗛, her hand reaching out for Marlene's, "Guys, let's just call it quits" She speaks, leaning her head against Marlene's shoulder.

"Come on, Adore, there's gotta be a way we can figure this shit out" Regulus cusses, running a hand through his messy curls, as he paces the common room.

"We've been up all night, Reg-"

"It doesn't make sense!" Regulus roars, gulping down a shot of fire whiskey, "We are disowned, our family blasted us from the tapestry and wish to believe that we never existed so why? Why do they think they have some god awful claim to our lives?" He spits, a sigh escaping his lips as he slouches onto the red sofa.

"Get that goddamn head up, Regulus Black" Rosalyn orders, untwining herself from Marlene, she points her finger at the younger man, "I may be slightly drunk, and very upset, but you know what we have in common? We're Blacks, they cannot and will not take that away from us" She rants, Rosalyn turns on her heel, facing the four marauders.

"I never wanted to be a Black, I'll never be a Black" Sirius shakes his head, a scoff falling from his lips, "but I will always be your cousin, whatever you've got planned, count me in" Sirius grins up at her.

"There's no plan, I don't need one, I don't want one, I battled this fight once before and after the months of spirals and heartache, I'm too tired to put up another, so acceptance is all I can offer" Rosalyn shrugs her shoulders, taking a seat next to Regulus, interlacing their fingers.

"I won't allow it" Regulus mutters, squeezing his cousins hand.

"We have read through every book, we've left no corner unturned, what else can I do? Unless you want me to marry Nicklaus Greengrass" Rosalyn chuckles.

Remus clears his throat, running a hand through his hair, "Last time you got out of it by marrying Evan, right? Is they any requirements or, uh, could you just marry me?" Remus asks, as all eyes turn to him.

"No! Not, not like that, Merlin, god, no, I mean no offence" Remus rants, struggling to catch a breathe, "All it is is a piece of paper right? Your parents sign you over to some dude so when your turn eighteen your under his name, his house, his order? What if I just signed the paper? Wait until your eighteenth get a divorce and boom, you have your rights, freedom and I can convince my mum I'm straight for an extra year" He lets out a forced laugh, a hand running through his hair.

"Whilst I applaud your bravery to marry into such a family like my own, dear Remy, you have no idea who you would be getting involved in, and please forgive me for asking, your blood status?" Rosalyn asks, an eyebrow raised.

"Mother's a muggle, it wouldn't work, Uncle Cygnus and your father wouldn't agree to it" Sirius shakes his head, his hand intertwining with Remus', "Thank you, though"

Rosalyn gives Remus a small smile, a silent thank you, "so, what are the rules?" Marlene asks, wrapping the fluffy Gryffindor blanket around her.

"Rules?" Rosalyn counters.

"To marry, you can't marry Remus, so what are the guidelines?"

Rosalyn sighs, pouring herself another drink, covering the cubes of ice in firewhiskey, "Rule 1 - blood purity, anybody below pure blood is seemed as a catastrophe, not worth mixing with, hence why our families usually stay with those of the sacred twenty-eight" Rosalyn explains, taking a sip of her drink.
