It took some time for them to sail to the next island. During that time Lance regained his strength which made the crew feel relieved. At the island, Muris and him walked with their fingers laced. They planned to not do the whole wedding, they were just going to declare they were married. Them having that claim was enough for them. After all the supplies were gathered, they met at a tavern. Kin and Tanya drank water while the others drank their preferred poison.

"I see the Poison Doctor lived after all," a man wearing all black said as he approached their table. "And you are," Lux asked him. "They call him Vulture," Scarlet said as she glared at him. "He's a damned bounty hunter who prefers taking in his bounties dead." "So you were the reason the lab exploded," Muris said as everyone stood, except Lance. "I've been following you all for a while," he admitted. "When I saw the doctor go on the island alone, I knew I had to strike while opportunity presented itself. Took out marines and was going to cash in on a heavy bounty. It was easy getting my hands on one of those suits and setting it up to blow. You being on that ship was perfect. Except when I got to the ship, there was a hole in the ship and the body of the doctor was no where to be seen. At first I thought you all saved the body so you could give it a proper funeral and I was going to just take it then to cash in on. Yet here you are."

"You're that large bird I kept seeing," Tanya realized. He shrugged, then looked at Lance, "No hard feelings. Just trying to make a living." "Going to be hard when you're buried six feet under," Pince said to him. Vulture smirked, "I'd be careful with your threats Shadow Sniper. I will gladly take you all in and collect on one of the biggest bounties I've ever had." "You hunt alone," Lance noted. "You fly solo. How would you bring us all in? How did you also plan to fight off every pirate who came after you if you were successful? You bounty hunters are so pathetic. You blew the lab up, because you knew in a one on one fight, you couldn't take me." "I was hired to take you out, they wanted you dead with your body intact," Vulture said. "I wasn't going to fight a bunch of marines to get to you."

"Who hired you," Igiel asked him. "Just a grieving woman who is mourning the loss of her two sons and husband," Vulture answered. Lance nodded, "I didn't think my mother had it in her." "She's lost faith in the marines that poor woman," he said then drew his pistol with one hand, and a vial with the poison he took from the lab before Lance neutralized it all. The green swirl in the purple liquid had him wanting to laugh. "This is a modified version of the poison the doctor tried to make useless. Did you know some of those creatures the island has, have venom? It could be a deadly combination when mixed. I wonder what this would do to you and the crew? Once it's exposed to air, it becomes a gas. I would be immune since I already took the antidote."

Lance chuckled softly as he walked over to him, "They didn't even have an antidote. I doubt you would be able to get venom to mix in the vial, make an antidote without even testing it first, and make it to this island the same time we did. You were flying, meaning you had no ship to work on." Lance snatched the vial from him and opened it up before tipping the contents down his throat. "Fruity. My guess is this is from a melted snow cone grape and lime flavored. An odd mix but good none the less." Vulture pointed his pistol at Lance's face. "Our first Lady isn't a fan of using guns in public places, too many innocent people can get hurt," Lance said while tucking his hands into his pockets. Pince paid attention to the pistol, and noticed the gunpowder chamber wasn't fully closed.

"Laya, get his gun wet, his gun powder chamber isn't closed," Pince whispered into her ear. She gave a subtle nod and took the water from Kin and Tanya's glasses and sent it at the pistol. Lance then stepped to the side as Muris came forward, slamming an hardened fist into Vulture's face. Vulture laid on the floor in a daze. Muris grabbed him by the back of his shirt, "We're gonna go talk privately." "Have fun," Lance said as he sat back down. He ordered something strong from the bar maid.

"What told you he wasn't telling the truth," Lux asked Lance as the bar maid came back with his drink. "There is nothing on that island that would make a green swirl in the liquid, not even the venom because the venom is clear, even mixed with the poison," Lance answered before downing the drink. They nodded in understanding.

It was late by the time Muris returned to the ship his hands covered in blood. Lance met him on the main deck, "You look like you could use this." He held up a drink. Muris took it and downed it. "Thank you."

They grabbed some clothes and we up to the shower. They stripped off their clothes and Lance took his hands in his and began to wash the blood from them. "Feel better," Lance asked with a small smile. "I do actually," Muris said with a nod. Lance nodded, "That's good." He looked up at Muris and Muris couldn't resist kissing him deeply. Muris groaned softly at the feel of Lance hardening against him. "I need you," Lance said against his lips. Muris couldn't agree more, so he spun Lance around and began to prep him as Lance braced his hands against the wall. He bit his lip and held back his moan, not wanting the entire ship to hear them since the bathroom wasn't all that sound proof. Muris wasn't gentle with his thrusts as he hit Lance's prostate, pushing Lance closer and closer to the edge. Muris reached around and gripped Lance's cock and began to stroke it as he thrusted. Muris groaned softly as Lance's walls clamped around him as he came, setting off his own orgasm.

Lance panted softly as Muris rested his head on his shoulder, his cock still deep in him. "I love you," Muris whispered as his arms wrapped around Lance's waist. "I love you too," Lance whispered back. Muris then began to cry softly, letting his guard down long enough to let out the feelings he tried to keep back. Lance cupped the side of his face as he rested his head back against him. Lance let his own silent tears fall down his face.

When they finished crying, they washed and left the shower before the water got cold. They went down to their room and laid in bed together. Muris gave Lance a soft kiss. "Don't ever go off on your own again. If we're in a life or death situation and death is the only option then we go together."

Lance nodded as he took the hand with his wedding band and laced his fingers with the hand that had Muris' band, "Till death do we part."
