Chapter 13

Sunny laid in bed in the infirmary, Pince in a chair by the window, keeping an eye on the door. "What's going on to make the crew so tense," she asked him softly. When she had saw Laya and Lance last, they had dark looks in their eyes. "We found out some things about these Amazons," Pince whispered softly. He then told her about what Scarlet and Lux found. Her eyes widened in horror. "Get me to the ship," she told him. "Doctor's orders that you stay in bed," Pince told her. "You think I'm going to delay you guys from saving those men and children," she hissed in a whisper. She threw off the covers, and went to move to the edge of the bed, "If you're not going to help me move, then I'll move on my own." Pince sighed and got up. He went over lifted her up bridal style. "Why are all you women so stubborn," he asked her. "Because we're Shadow Pirates," she answered. He smiled softly, "That you are." He then turned them both to mist and slipped from under the door. 

"What the hell do you think you're doing," Lance yelled at Pince when they appeared on the ship. "She was going to get up on her own and tear open her wounds if I didn't help her," Pince explained to him. "Don't let me being injured stop you from saving those men and children," Sunny told them. "We'll stay safe on the ship while you give them a good thrashing." Lux made his way down the steps from the upper deck, "You heard the lady. Let's not waste anymore time." Laya kissed Sunny's cheek before leaving the ship. 

Scarlet put her hat on Sunny's head, "Protect this for me." Sunny smiled bright, knowing what it meant. She nodded, "I will." Kin gave her a soft smile before following after everyone. "Get her in bed," Lance told Pince. "We should be back soon." He then left the ship and Muris followed behind them. Dio held up a flare gun and put it on the railing. 

"What's going on," Brian asked as he and Trish approached the ship, having been working on the one they were going to salvage and use to transport the men and children in. "Sunny's back on the ship, so we're going to raise hell," Dio told him. Trish and Brian smiled. Brian gave Pince a two finger salute while Trish waved her, before they went with everyone. 

"Let the fireworks begin," Pince said before he took Sunny to her bed. 

"I'm heading to the castle," Lux said to them. "Don't wreck the buildings, we can take their supplies. We'll give the amazons a choice, because I doubt all of them agree with their ways. We'll just have to wait and see how large the divide is." "Aye Captain," they all said. Scarlet then made her wings appear. She took Kin's hand and took off towards the mountain. She wanted Kin with her to help coax those around his age in case they didn't trust her since she was a woman. 

At the first door Scarlet kicked it in, not caring to be stealthy. In the first room they found an Amazon, naked, about to drug the man chained on the bed. She turned quickly to look at Scarlet and Kin. "Step away from him," Scarlet said to her. "How did you find this place," the Amazon asked. "Don't worry about that," Scarlet said to her. The Amazon then tackled her. Kin moved around the fighting women and grabbed the man's chains. 

"What are you doing," he asked Kin. "We're saving you," Kin told him. Kin pulled the lock picking kit Laya had given him out of his pocket. "How old are you kid," the man asked Kin as Kin picked his lock. "Sixteen," Kin replied as the cuffs popped open. "Let's move on to the next," Scarlet said as she stepped over the knocked out Amazon. Kin unlinked the chains from the bed and wrapped them around her, clasping the cuffs and her hands behind her back. 

They went from room to room, saving the men left and right. When she got to the man she met when she was first looking around he seemed relieved to see she had kept her promise. "I see you made good on your word," he said to her. She smiled, "Of course I did." Kin worked on the man's cuffs and they fell away. The man rubbed one of his wrists. "What's the plan now," the man asked her. "We're going to get you men off the island," she told him. "Then we're going to take you to Tenshi." "I haven't heard about any islands outside the Forbidden lands in a while," he whispered. "Mind dropping me off at Likster, I have a brother waiting for me there." Scarlet nodded, "We'll be more than happy too."
