Follow The Current

Chapter 11

Trish looked down at the clothes they provided her. It was a black skirt, and a cropped top that was strapless. She had shorts beneath it to cover her underwear, but the shorts and skirt didn't go more than an inch past her butt. "Don't they know what pants are," Trish asked. It bothered her how short the skirt was. The only time she didn't mind showing off skin was when it came to her shirts and swimwear. Other than that, she always wore shorts that went to her knees or pants.

"I rather like it," Scarlet said as she looked over the outfit. Laya and Sunny were in agreement. When it was time, they left the room and were lead to a large arena. The guys were chained to a platform beside the throne. "How you ladies holding up," Lux called out to them. "We're fine Captain," Scarlet assured him with a smile and wave.

Queen Olivia stood from her throne, "Welcome my Amazons. Today I have a wonderful treat for you all. These pirates have trespassed and the women of their crew are fighting for their freedom. If they win then they all can leave. If they loose however, the men will be promptly executed and the women will have to swear allegiance to us. Let the fight begin."

Four Amazon women came into the arena. "Pirate women," the woman with purple hair called out. They all turned and Scarlet saw her swords. "To make things fair," the woman said before tossing them. Scarlet ran for them. One of the Amazon women shot arrows at Scarlet. A whip of water shot them out of the air. Scarlet grabbed them and smiled happily.

The men stayed emotionless. Lance was just thankful they had given him back his glasses so he would be able to properly watch. He watched as one of the women went after Sunny. She ducked and dodged, avoiding the point of the woman's spear. Sunny eventually spun around, getting closer to the woman. She grabbed the shaft of the woman's spear and turned it into peppermint candy, snapping the spear. The woman dropped it in shock.

Many of the Amazons were beginning to talk now as they watched the four pirate women. Scarlet used her swords, but didn't use their abilities. She didnt want to bring the whole place down on them. It could result in many casualties.

Scarlet clashed swords with another Amazon who also used twin swords. The archer continued to fire arrows at every opportunity she saw, but Laya whipped them away. Trish was doing her best to dodge attacks from a sword. Sunny intervened and managed to grab the sword and turned it into chocolate, before breaking off the blade.

More weapons were being thrown in by the other Amazons. "We need to hurry up and finish this," Laya said. She then heard the ocean. She just prayed they weren't too far for her to use it. She looked at Sunny who had picked up a spear that was tossed in, "Hey sis, cover me!" Sunny nodded as Laya went to the back and began to concentrate.

She reached as far as she could, feeling exhaustion from straining her abilities begin to creep on her. When she got a firm grip on the ocean, she brought it into the arena, the force slamming the Amazon women into the walls of the arena, the water not touching her companions. Trish then sent a shock of lightning into the water, giving the Amazons a good zap. "Karma must suck," Trish commented and Sunny giggled as Laya sent the water back into the ocean. She sagged against the wall, panting.

Sunny and Trish ran over to her. They helped her to her feet and walked over to Scarlet, who was looking at the throne. Prince's eyes widened when he saw one of the Amazons get to their feet, swaying, spear in hand. She then threw it. "Look out," Pince called out. Sunny turned and pushed Trish and Laya out of the way, the spear, piercing Sunny beneath her breasts. "Sunny!" Pince yelled out, straining against his chains.

Lance struggled to get out of his as well. He looked at the Queen. "Their death wasn't part of the deal," Lance told her. "Get me out of the chains so I can help her. They won and your Amazon is being a poor loser." The Queen studied him before she snapped a finger. A woman let Lance out of his chains and he bolted to Sunny. Another woman was there with a doctor bag. Other Amazons were holding back the Amazon who threw the spear. Trish struggled to hold Scarlet back while Laya cradled Sunny's head in her lap, tears streaming down her face.
