(6) "No one will care until it's too late."

NIKI had been baking a cake, when she heard the jingles of the bell attached to the door, signaling someone had entered the bakery.

Curiously, she turned away from the furnace, and towards the direction of the door, just over the counter. From there she noticed a petite girl, holding hands with Tubbo. She took a second to take in the girl's appearance first, noticing she wore a bold, blue sweater, with a two-tone plaid, muted red skirt. She also wore de-saturated blueish-teal stockings, with navy blue Mary Janes, all the while bearing a black choker.

Niki could've sworn she saw a hair-clip in the shape of a flower hidden in the girl's h/c hair.

Now Niki was all for fashion, but that outfit seemed impossible to protect yourself in. It was at this moment, Niki swore to give her a makeover.

"Hey Niki! I came by to introduce someone to you!"

The boy cheerily waved, the unknown girl merely smiled at his antics. The two quickly ran up to Niki, and Tubbo immediately got into introductions.

"Niki, This is Y/N. Y/N, this is Niki."

Niki smiled and held out her hand, to which the shorter girl grabbed, and they shook.

"It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm sure we'll get along."

The short girl spoke, and Niki could feel herself smiling at the start of a new friendship.

yep, friendship, Niki was far too worried about the war to worry about romantic relationships.

YAWNING, Fundy walked through the kitchen door and into the cashiers' area, where he fully expected to see Niki using that damn furnace she insisted be placed in the cashiers' area instead of the kitchen with the rest of the ovens.

What Fundy didn't expect to see, was Tubbo, standing next to an unknown girl.

He disregarded her outfit, immediately deeming her harmless, and instead cringed at how worn out she looked. When was the last time this girl slept?

"um..hey?"

Fundy spoke up, as no one seemed to realize he had entered the room. Niki turned to look at him, and her eyes lit up.

"Fundy! Tubbo brought a new citizen for introductions, her name is Y/N."

Niki gestured in the direction of the-now known-girl. Fundy found himself uncaring of new citizens, after all, Wilbur probably had something to do with this. Still, he had to introduce himself.

"The names Fundy, it's nice to meet you, I guess."

The girl sent a warm smile at Fundy, to which he simply avoided eye contact at seeing. He refused to accept people's sympathy.

That's what that had to be, right? Wilbur probably told her how he'd been acting, and now she felt pity for them. right? Well, he wasn't going to take it. That joke of a father wanted him to talk to him, but he wasn't going to do that because of some strangers' pity for him.
