I had dozed off for more than I initially wanted to. My whole excitement was spawned from the lead-up and mostly the train ride. I love looking out the window, watching the flora and fauna of outside become a blur due to the speed. But a high percentage of the time I was left sleeping on Remus. I gradually came back into reality when Remus put his hands back onto my head to play with my hair again. I slowly open my eyes to see Sirius completely knocked out asleep on the window, and Lily leaning onto James like I was with Remus.
I sit up from my position on Moony, and yawn in response to my grand train nap, rubbing my eyes to ready myself for a conversation. I look over to Remus and he produces a timid smile, laughing when he looks over to Sirius, mouth open and everything almost snoring on the window, his breath fogs up the glass his whole head is rested on. I snuggle back into the crook of the individual next to me; the temperature hasn't gotten any warmer.
"How far have we got to go now?" I whisper, not having any motivation to wake up the other members in the carriage with us.
"Till Kingscross station, maybe another hour, if that," Remus spritely said, responding to my question. I groaned, wanting to get off the train as soon as possible. "You're so impatient Y/N, just enjoy the ride, and do not wish for something to be over before you can wish for time to be slower," He smiled, probably wishing I appreciate his little speech. I roll my eyes.
"How are you not tired? Please don't tell me you're nocturnal," I snort, pretending to actually be scared the answer is yes. He looks over at me, irritated.
"No. Y/N. I'm not nocturnal. I'm just not as easily as tired as you lot," He smirked.
"Wouldn't it be the opposit-" I continued, but was cut off.
"Y/N, please. Stop talking. I know what I am so please, close that mouth of yours," He snarled. I scoffed and crossed my arms, looking the other way out the window, I also shuffle myself further away, just to irritate him more.
"Watch your tone Lupin," I spat, continuing to look out the window.
"You can look at me when speaking to me Y/N," Remus growled, fed up with me. I swiftly remove myself from the window, flinging myself close to his face. Our noses are almost touching, but I'm looking directly into his eyes. He smirks.
"Watch. Your. Tone. Remus. Lupin," I breathed heavily from my nose, the stare is not broken. He struggles to keep the stare, he breaks it to look down to my lips. With equal force, he breathes from his nose. He leans in a little closer, so our noses touch, just to tempt each other even more. I break the stare to look over to James, Lily and Sirius, to double-check if they're asleep still. James has now rested his head on top of Lily's, asleep. I look back to stare into Lupins, deep emerald and brown eyes. Our eyes meet once again.
"What was that Y/N? Are you the one to tell me what to do now?" He questioned mischievously. I bit my lip, he slid his hand onto my thigh, gripping tightly. I look down to my upper leg, to see his thorough grasp. I follow up by looking at his lips, and then his piercing eyes once again, he is smiling now.
"Maybe I am Lupin, what are you gonna do about it, but you've obviously failed to listen to my orders, perhaps I'll have to teach you a few things myself," I'm stunned with what was falling out of my mouth, it was so unlike me, but something just dawned right over. Remus runs his tongue right over his teeth, not too jazzed with my attitude.
"I don't think I love this new you too much, are you putting on a show these holidays?"
"I don't care if you liked it or not, I didn't ask for you to like it," I said moving my hand up to his cheek. What the hell was I doing, I'm never this bold. I caress his cheek. He squeezed my thigh, causing me to flinch and close my eyes in sudden pain.
