[4] The Truth Revealed

Reader POV (present)

It was cold when I came back to the Spade castle, walking through a hallway of cracked mirrors.

Except the one at the very end which I would stand in front of, picturing myself as the future head of the rebellion of the Spade kingdom.

"Soon." My eyes glowed red in the darkness, a hidden agenda that would reveal itself in the future.

I knew Yuno truly loved me as I loved him, but this was the only way.

I had already contacted the Wizard King and although he didn't approve of my idea, he had no other say as it didn't matter.

I would be dead, sooner or later.

The least I can do is offer my life for the thousands I took.

I knew that there were thousands of ways to kill someone, but especially a loved one?

"(y/n)."

I jumped and saw Vanica. "Yes?"

She was frowning. "Your blood magic. May I see you use it? Spar with me."

I nodded. "Very well."

"I hate what you've become..." she frowned. "You're always so cold and stoic. One sibling is fine since that's just Zeno, but why you?"

I shrugged. "It's the bitterness in my heart, Ma'am."

"There you go again. You don't even call me Big Sis or anything."

"Why would I?" I said with a blunt expression hiding the rage in my body. "I didn't grow up with you or the others. As far as I'm concerned, we're only related by blood. That doesn't mean I have to care for you. Isn't that what Sir Dante said?"

Vanica looked upset but sighed. "I suppose. But I heard the rumors you were dating that Yuno. Had he not been the prince, I would gladly offer to speak to Dante to let you love him."

I stared at my older sister with surprise. "You would?"

"Mmhm." She sighed. "I've always wanted to have a little sister, you know. To gossip about guys, do each other's makeup, and mock our brothers."

"Well, don't waste your breath." I fixed my cloak that looked like theirs, my eyes glittering with danger. "I've no time for pathetic relationships."

Ha, don't lie to yourself, girl.

I walked in front of Vanica who was complaining about missing so much time together.

You mean nothing to me.

Especially after you cursed my best friend Noelle's mother to die!

I had tried so hard to rewind the curse on Queen Lolopechka's body and life force, not wanting to lose anyone else to my sister's blood magic.
