Chapter 10: Break Up

When Leon walked out of the class, I followed him, not caring that the class wasn't over yet. I called out his name to stop him and he stopped.

Violetta: Leon wait, don't be angry. We didn't kiss one another!

Leon: I need to be alone right now, Violetta.

Violetta: No, please talk to me.

Leon: I saw the way you sang together, and I saw that he was about to kiss you there at the end. I walked out because I couldn't watch.

Violetta: I just tripped and fell, and then he caught me. During the entire song, all I thought about was singing with you.

Leon: He just doesn't get that you're with me and if he doesn't stop...

Tomas walked towards us and interrupted our conversation.

Tomas: Leon, I want to tell you that I'm sorry you think that I was going to kiss her, but I wasn't. I promise you, I don't like Violetta in that way. We just met and I know she's your girlfriend. I don't want to interfere with your relationship. I hope we all can just be friends.

Violetta: Thank you for the apology Tomas. Yeah, sure we can all be friends, right Leon?

You could see Leon was still angry, but he put his anger aside to please me, which I was grateful for.

Leon: We can be friends, but you need to understand that she's my girlfriend! If you ever try to kiss her again, Violetta won't be able to stop me from ending you.

Tomas: You've got it, I'll back off.

Leon: Good, I'm glad we're on the same page.

We all walked back to class and Antonio spoke to the three of us about us running off in the middle of class.

Antonio: I have no idea what that was all about, but that cannot happen again. Do you understand Leon, Tomas and Violetta?

Leon: I'm sorry, Antonio. It was my fault, it won't happen again.

Antonio: Okay. Now about that duet, it was really good. I could see the chemistry. We'll see other combinations at auditions. Class dismissed.

The day went by swiftly and by the end of the school day, I was tired. Leon walked me home and I offered him to stay as we need to work on our duet songs. It was also an excuse to spend more time with him.

Leon: I'm sorry for storming out of class today, I just couldn't watch him kiss you, or whatever he was going to do. I don't trust him.

Violetta: It's alright, I understand. You don't have to worry though, we're together and I promise you, nothing is going to break us apart.

Leon: You said that when you were singing, you were thinking of me. So tell me, what were you thinking exactly?

Violetta: I was thinking about how happy I am with you and how you make me feel. I really wish I sang with you.

Leon: Me too. I couldn't stand seeing him with you, I hated watching.

Violetta: I see someone's really jealous.

Leon: Maybe, I'm a bit jealous, but it was because he was already trying to make a move on you before Antonio told you both to sing.

Violetta: Okay look, I want you to promise me that you'll not let anyone get under your skin.

Leon: I promise, and I won't let anyone break us apart.

Violetta: And you'll try and be friends with Tomas, for me please.
