A week has past and Violetta is still in a coma. I can't stop thinking about her. Beto was clumsy in class today as usual and knocked over all the instruments. After his class, I went to Angie's class and we got an assignment from her.
Angie: I've assigned you each in pairs. What I tried to do was to put you with your close or best friend because I want you to sing a song that expresses how you both feel about anything in life. It can be a song that you have already written, or even one of the old songs. I want it to be about friendship, love, passion or anything like that. I want it also to be vibey, so I want lots of energy during the performance.
Angie's (POV)
This week has been tough because a lot of the students haven't been coping with Violetta being in a coma. I chose to incorporate joy and energy in this assignment because I need them to feel happy and to stop worrying about her all the time.
Camila: I'm sorry Angie, I know this isn't the right moment to be talking about this because it's class, but how's Vilu doing?
Angie: She still hasn't woken up, but when she does I'll let you all know. You can still visit her during visiting hours.
Francesca: I can't stop thinking about her. She needs us to be there with her, maybe then she'll wake up.
I looked at Leon and I knew he was having the toughest time out of them all. This assignment has to work.
Angie: I know this is difficult for you all, but you need to push through, for Violetta. I know she wouldn't want you to be moping around all day worrying about her. You need to rather sing and feel her in your heart singing with you. Naty, you'll be with Ludmila, Francesca will be with Camila, Lara with Gery, Broduey with Andres, Federico with Maxi, Tomas with Clement, and Leon with Diego. I'm giving you 2 hours to choose a song and perform it in front of everyone. You may all get to work now, no wasting time!
Leon's (POV)
I usually would be excited to work with Diego, but I just wasn't feeling anything. I walked up to him and he seemed excited to work with me.
Diego: This is great! It'll be fun working with my best friend. I have so many ideas, what about if we do Euphoria?
Leon: Not a bad idea, but which version and which style? I was thinking we can do a rock kind of style. What do you think?
Diego: I love it, I like the second version better than the first.
Leon: I actually like the first version better.
Diego: I feel like if we want it to do rock, the second version will fit better than the first.
It took a while because we debated for a solid 20 minutes until we finally came to an agreement.
Leon: Okay, let's do the second version.
Diego: Yes, now we're talking!
We worked on the song and when it was time to perform, Angie called us to go to the stage.
