Chapter 2: See It Now

Leon's (POV)
I was happy because I got to be in a group with Maxi and Violetta. I wish it were a pairs assignment or I wish Violetta and I would be the only pair instead of Clement and Gery, but I'm still happy. Maxi whispered to the two of us before Gregorio continued.

Maxi: I am excited to work with the both of you.

Gregorio: You have a week to prepare a dance to the song 'Always Dancing'. Group 1 and 2 will go on Wednesday in your second class with me and Group 3 will go on Thursday in our morning class.

We went into our groups and discussed rehearsal times.

Violetta: So, when is it fine for us to have rehearsals? How about every day 20 minutes after school for an hour in Gregorio's classroom?

Leon, Maxi: Perfect!

We gave our ideas for our choreography and then Gregorio dismissed us as class was over. Violetta and I went to Pablo's class and we sat next to each other as everyone slowly started to come in.

Pablo: Everyone, I hope you are all well and ready for the new year ahead. We have a new student that has just recently joined here as well as a U-Mix star, like some of you, but from Israel. I hope you are all friendly towards both girls. I'd like to introduce you all to Lara and Libbi! Libbi is going to help with the choreography for our show, so you all can learn a lot from her. Ask her as much as you need to.

Everyone: Hi Lara and Libbi!

As Lara came in, she looked at me and winked. I was taken aback by what she did and looked straight at Violetta to see if she noticed.

Violetta's (POV)
When Lara came in, I saw her give a flirty wink to Leon and I felt a bit jealous, but why would I feel jealous? We are not even together, and I don't even like him. Well actually, I don't want to like him in that way.

Pablo: Our show will be at the end of the year, so we need to start preparing. We need to think about the theme. Any suggestions?

Violetta: Maybe a romantic theme, but not like last year's show with the mannequin and the street boy. Instead of "Impossible Love", can we do "High School Romance"?

Pablo: That's a great idea Violetta! I was thinking, what if you and Leon write both duet songs. Are you up for it?

Leon: Yeah sure, thanks Pablo.

Violetta: I also have ideas for the solo, may I write it please Pablo?

Pablo: Yes, you may. You need to all write two new group songs together. I also want the boyband and the girls to sing a song each. If you're up for it Cami and Naty, can you write the girls song? And can Diego and Maxi write the boys one?

Camila : Yes! you won't regret this!

Naty: Definitely, it's a great honour, really!

Diego, Maxi: You can count on us too!

Pablo: Great! Oh and auditions for the leads are in a few months' time, so you all need to be prepared. In the meantime, I have an assignment for all of you. I want you get into groups of 3 or 4 and choose a leader. Then that leader will have to write a song for you to present.

Leon: Pablo, myself, Andres and Broduey already have something prepared that will work for this assignment.

Pablo: If you're ready, please show it to me now. I can tell Beto that you'll be a few minutes late. The rest of you can stay if you want for the song, but then you must get to your next class.

I left as I didn't want to watch Leon sing.
