Ch.7 The Spiders and The Mages.

"I hope she doesn't cause any trouble while i'm away" I sighed and walk throught the village till I arrived to the Town Hall. I thought to myself "As I was walking around the town to find the Town Hall I didnt see to many people but there we a lot of guards patrolling." I wondered if it was really that bad, only had been a few days since I took out those bandits and left the town. I walked into the hall and was stoped by a guard.

"Hey haven't seen you around here before and cant just let a stranger with all these weapons come in like some bar! What business has brought you here today?" I turned to him and said "I'm here because I heard giant spiders have been harassing the town and came to kill them." His intimidating look lightened up "ooh ok. Yeah we've been having a problem they are in the forest to the south-east of the village. We've killed 10 already but seems like they keep just coming out they even started leaving the forest and attacking whatever they can."

I let out a sigh. "Might be a queen trying to make this area here home. If so we will need to deal with her first then kill the stragglers. If you can get a little raid party together and i'll go seach the area see if I could find the queen." he nods then says "ok meet them at the barracks they will be waiting for you there." I walk out of the town hall and towards the forest. When I arrived there was nothing in sight so I put on my hood so I could some what hide in the dark parts of the forrest. I spot a few spiders but just sneak past them then I told myself. "I cant let them see me or they will contact the others and it wont end good."

As I kept going deeper into the forest more and more spiders I see, Then I get to this opening and a house is in the middle of it and a queen spider near it. I was about to head back but I sow two people get out of the house. "wait this doesnt make any sense" I said to myself, then tried to hear what they were saying.

"The Ritual will start tomorrow night and we will birng forth a Demon Giant to help destroy the towns near here and claim this land for ourselves." They walked up to the spider and gave it a few peices of meat. "With the Queen as my pet nothing will come near this place."

"tsk... stupid dark mages." I said the walk back to the village and as I walking into the town I sow Evora looking around. I hid behind a wall, whispered to myself "She must be looking for me." I looked around the corner. "Why you hiding from me" she said as I turned the corner and sow her. I sighed then said "sorry just didn't think this is a good mission for someone to start out with. Especially the things i've resently found out whats going on with the spiders so I want you to go to the inn."

I started walking a bit and hear her still behind me. "Evora..." I said "What? Its safer to be with you to protect me and the elder said I needed to help you and thats what i'm going to do." I started to remebered when I went on my frist mission then, I smile and say to myself in my head. "Your right she is like me." then said to her "ok but stay close, dont do anything stupid and you must do what I tell you." I suddenly felt he hug me from behing as we walked "I will I promise I'll be safe." She lets go of me and we continue walking to the barracks.

"Hey are you that Adventurer thats supose to help us kill the..." he sees Evora follow behind me. " What is a kid doing here?" Evora gets mad and was about to say something then I put out and say "Yes i'm here to help and she's training so she will come along to help a bit." The guard sighs and she smiles happily. "My name is Jackson, so how was your search?" I sigh then sit down "My name is Marax and this is Evora." she smiles "nice to meet you."

"Ok now down to business. I went pretty deep into the forrest. while looking for the queen I found a old house there do you you know anything about it?" he looked confused. "yeah thats the house that our old Mage use to live in but he was old and died of natural causes a few years back? Why do you ask?" I lean back. "I see... well two dark mages are living there and are controling the spiders. They are planing on summoning a Demon Giant then taking over the villages around here." As I said that I see jacksons face drop from confused to frighten.

"They are planning on doing it tomorrow night so we must get everyone ready and set out early in the morning since the sun is going down and will be dark soon." he nods but still looks scared. "O-ok i'll tell everyone and w-we will all meet up here." I get up, start walking and evora follows behind me. we get out of the barracks and she whispers "How bad is a Demon Giant?" I keep looking foward so she doesn't seem my worried expression." During the war it took over 100 elite troops and only 15 came back alive."

She grabs me shirt and keeps walking with me " Will..." I speak which cutted her off on what she was going to say and I look back to her and smile. "Dont worry It wont be bad" she smiles back and we walk into the in and I say to myself "I wont let it happen! Even if its the last thing I do."
