Chapter 20

4 years before, when Naruto decided not to go back to visit

"I don't know what to do now Gaara." Naruto sobbed as he wiping his tears away.
"That Sasuke guy is a jerk." Gaara said as he pat Naruto's back.
They then heard rustling in the bushes, both Naruto and Gaara stood up and came closer slowly.
Then Sakura jumped out. She had some leaves in her hair and shook them off. She looks at Naruto and looks down in shame.
Sakura bowed, then spoke.
"I'm so sorry for not paying attention to what you were saying Naruto. I should've known Sasuke was a jerk. Please forgive me!" She spoke almost quickly.
Naruto's eyes then softened.
"It's alright, you don't have to apologize. Even I didn't know Sasuke was that bad." I spoke.
She then quickly hugged Naruto, he then hugged back.
"I feel out of place." Gaara said to himself.
When they both pulled away, Naruto wore a sad face.
"But I still don't know how to get back at him." He spoke.
Both Sakura and Gaara looked at each other then back at Naruto.
"How about we help you take care of yourself?" Sakura spoke.
"I already know how to take care of myself." Naruto said.
"Mhm, all the ramen you have stored in your room and around the house, with so much trash lying around your room definitely means you know how to take care of yourself." Gaara said.
Sakura looked back at Naruto with a surprised look.
"Um, what's your name?" Sakura asked politely.
"My name is Gaara."
"My name is Sakura."
"Alright. Gaara, I don't think it's good to get rid of his habits."
"Then what do you suggest?" Gaara asked.
"Hm. Wait, Naruto didn't you want to break Sasuke's heart?" Sakura asked Naruto.
Naruto nodded.
"Then, let's do a makeover time." Sakura said excitedly.
"No matter what you try I'll still be a loser with zits and glasses." Naruto sighed.
Sakura then took his glasses, inspected it, and took out a little box from her pocket.
"Naruto, hold still."
"Wait, what are you doing?!" Naruto started freaking out.
"These are contact lenses, they help you see without glasses." She spoke.
Naruto tried hard to stay put, but he's a hyperactive prince.
Sakura sighed. "Gaara please hold him down."
Gaara nodded.
After 5 minutes of trying, Sakura successfully got them in.
"Done." She smiled proud of herself.
Naruto opened his eyes and was flabbergasted.
"Woah, I can see without my glasses!" Naruto said excitedly and pouted. "But my zits and braces are still my problem."
"It's fine, I'll give you a skin care routine for your face." Sakura smiled.
Gaara was shocked but was happy to see Naruto turning back to himself.
"C'mon, we still have things to do to take care of yourself." Said Gaara, moving ahead in front of them, his back facing them.
Naruto and Sakura smirked at each other and both softly pounced on Gaara. They ended up rolling down the grass laughing together.
What they didn't notice was that Iruka was watching them.
"So, that's why he was upset. I'll try to help him win Sasuke's heart, since we need them to mate." Iruka smiled still looking at them.
