"So? How'd it go?" Amy asked as Jenna walked into the shop.
"He's just... He pisses me off..." Jenna said as she tied and apron around her waist. She and Amy had worked at the local bakery for a little over a year. Amy managed the cash register while Jenna did the baking; occasionally they would switch positions, but between the two of them, Jenna was the better baker.
The bakery was called 'Soufflé Sunday' because on Sundays, their soufflés were half price. 'Soufflé Sunday' was located in the middle of London and they usually got a lot of customers, especially during the holidays. Whenever Jenna got home from work, her mother told her she smelled like a cookie. Jenna would sniff her clothes and she realized that the sweet smell was forever embedded in her wardrobe.
Jenna loved working in the little bakery which was run by Mrs. Song; a little old women who treated Jenna and Amy almost as of they were her grandchildren. Whatever didn't get sold, she would let the girls pick what they wanted to take home with them.
"Jenna he honestly can't be that bad." Amy said as she wiped down the counters to get rid of the evidence that she had eaten a cookie.
"But he is... He has that stupid floppy hair, and that dumb leather jacket, and girls drool over him all the time... He's annoying..." Jenna looked over and caught Amy smirking.
"What's so funny Pond?" Jenna asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Never mind... You'd be too scared to do it anyways..."
"Do what?" Now Jenna was intrigued.
"You know how it's almost Valentines Day?"
"Yeah..." Jenna didn't like where this was going.
"If you get the balls to ask Matt out for Valentines, I'll ask Rory out too. And of that isn't enough motivation, I'll pay for your ticket to prom when the time comes."
Amy had had a crush on Rory since their freshman year of high school. He played on the schools rugby team and was quite good at it. Whenever he would see Amy he looked as if he wanted to talk to her, but he couldn't pack up the courage to do so. If Jenna asked Matt out, Amy would ask Rory out, and Jenna wouldn't have to listen to Amy fantasize about Rory anymore because it would become a reality... She also didn't feel like spending $100 on a prom ticket, she was saving every penny she could so that she could go on a trip to New York...
"Fine, it's a deal." Jenna said.
"You have a little over a month to get him to fall for you Coleman." Amy said with a smirk.
"What? You don't think he'll want a piece of this?" Jenna said as she flipped her hair dramatically.
"You're something else Jen." Amy rolled her eyes and got back to cleaning.

"So did your plan work?" Rory asked Matt. The two of them were sitting outside of a local coffee shop because Rory needed to kill some time before practice.
"It's going to take a while... And who knows, it may not even work..." Matt said as he took a sip of coffee.
"It has to work! How could it not work?"
Matt shrugged his shoulders and looked up at the sky.
"Would it be alright if I borrowed your calculus notes? I have a quiz tomorrow and I don't want to fail... Your notes are always so thorough." Rory asked.
"Yeah, sure, take them."
Rory pulled out his phone and looked at the time.
"I have to head to practice... Good luck with your plan Mr. Smith." Rory said before running off.
