Chapter Nine

Phil's POV
I rush out of my dorm to go meet Emma, even though I do feel kind of bad for just leaving Dan there like that...

I run down the flights of stairs and then to the English block which is where Emma's class is. I see her waiting there and she looks kind of annoyed...uh oh.

"Oh my god, where have you been?! I've been standing out here like a loser for 10 minutes now, waiting for you!!" Emma says shouting in my face.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I lost track of time, I was taking care of Dan as he was beaten up last week and I forgot but I'm here now aren't I!" I say trying to clear myself up but it doesn't look like she's buying it...

"It's always Dan isn't it?! Is there no time for me, what about me moving into your dorm, have you spoke to Dan about that yet?! Probably not! Uggh why do I even bother with you?!"

"What's that supposed to mean?! I do have time for you Emma! But you just can't see past that, I've even said 'I love you' but you just pushed me away! I think we need a break...I-I'll see you around, Emma" I say with my voice cracking at the end. Without Emma answering, I turn around and walk. Not back to my dorm. I just, walk.

I end up getting to a place that I'm not familiar with and I then decide that...I'm lost, great. Maybe I should phone Dan so maybe he can find me. I get out my phone and find Dans contact number and click dial. It then starts to ring.

"Hello?" I hear Dan say.

"Umm, hey Dan...I'm uhh, lost, do you think you could help me?" I question.

It's then silent for a moment.

"Well, is your phone an iPhone?" I hear Dan reply.

"Yeah, why?" I then ask.

"I have three words for you my friend: Find My iPhone" I giggle when Dan finishes.

"Oh yeah! I forgot all about that!"

"Well, I will end the call, type in your number and I'll come find you, stay put ya here me!" I hear Dan say.

"Ok, see you in a bit then!!"

"Bye!" I hear Dan finish as I end the call.

I decide to play Crossy Road whilst I wait for Dan to find me. I can't seem to get that damn Capybara!!

*10 minutes later*

*RIIIIIIIIINNNNNNG.....RIIIIIINNNNN-*

"Hello?" I question.

"Hey Phil, look left and you will be in for a supprise..." Dan says mysteriously. Before I could look left I was ran into by Dan and we both fell on to the cold pavement.

"SUPPRISE!!!" Dan says happily and I just laugh.

"Haha very funny Dan....umm Dan?" I then ask.

"What is it?"

"Your laying on my arm and it's really starting to hurt." I point out.

"Oh, oh!! Sorry!!" He then scrambles up onto his feet and brushes himself off, he then holds out his hand. I grab it and he hoists me up.

"Thanks" I say quietly.

"Well, let's get home, you walked quite far! I thought you were meeting up with Emma?" Dan then questions.

"Oh, we were but something happened..." I start "I was late, as you know and then she was really annoyed with me and said I care more about you than her and in some respects that's true and then she got even more annoyed so then I told her that we should go on a break...what do I do Dan?" I finish in a hopeless voice.

Dans POV
"Y-you care more about m-me than E-Emma?" I say in a shocked voice.

Phil then looks me in the eyes.

"Oh Dan...of course I do, your so special to me..." Phil says. What the hell does he mean by that??!!

It was then quiet for a moment as we carried on walking.

"What do you mean by that Phil?" I ask curiously.

"Oh umm, well your one for the first people who really like me as a best friend" Phil says quietly. Right, friend...

"Same here, I've never had a best friend before, all the other times they've either ended up beating the crap out of me and calling me a faggot or they've pressured me into doing things that I really did not want to do..." I say also being quiet.

"Oh my god Dan, that's terrible and Dan, are you gay if they called you a faggot?" Phil then asked and I just looked at the floor, twiddling my thumbs.

"Umm..." I start but finding the courage to just say one simple word that if I do say then I'll throw up... "Y-Yes, I am..." I finish but I then feel a warm sensation around me. Phil was hugging me, wait so does that mean he's ok with all this?

"I so happy you told me Dan, hey it's ok to be gay. I'm bi so your not alone." Phil says softly into my ear and HOLY MOTHER OF COWS!!! HES BI!! I STILL HAVE A CHANCE!!!!!!!!!! ASDFGHJKLDHEIAJQNDL. Calm down Dan otherwise some of this excitement will end up being said aloud.

For the rest of the walk we just walk quietly next to each other with the occasional brushing of the shoulder until we get back to the dorm about half an hour later...wow, Phil did walk far.

"Boy, I'm absolutely KNACKERED!" I say flopping onto my bed.

"Haha, sorry..." Phil says quietly.

"Nnononononnono!! It's not your fault, it's Emma's. She doesn't realise how 'amazing' you are, get it, like AmazingPhil! No? Ok..." I say drifting of.

"Thanks Dan and that was a damn good pun as well." Phil replies with a smile that makes me feel warm inside.

We then get into our beds and start to drift of to the land of nod but that's when I heard thunder...I hate thunder.

*BOOOM* *CRACK*

I start to shiver and shake in my bed and make little whimpering noises like a two year old would but then I felt that warm feeling again, it was Phil. In my bed, hugging me...all my dreams are alive right now.

"It's ok, I'm here, go back to sleep" Phil whispers gently into my ear as he hugs me tighter.
