Chapter Twenty Nine

Dan's POV

As soon as I get of the phone from the hospital I jump up and get into the shower and quickly wash myself, then after I get dressed into some presentable clothes to go outside in, so that's black skinny jeans that might be a little baggy to the lack of food...AND a black/grey jumper with the United States flag on it, perfect!

I get out if my very cheaply rented apartment and haul a cab and get to the hospital asap.

When I arrive I rush into the reception area and a woman looks up and smiles at me.

"Hi, how can I help?" She greets.

"Um yeah hi, I'm here to see Phil Lester? I got a phone call from the hospital saying that there going to being him out of his coma?" I ask in a raspy voice as I'm still not used to the talking business.

"Ooohh, you must be Dan Howell, go to room 103 an just tell one of the nurses who you are and they'll let you in." She smiles.

"Okay, Thankyou!" I wave an rush of the the coma ward (don't even judge me if that's not a real ward ok) and see number 103 on the door and knock.

"Hello?" I hear a woman's voice.

"Um I'm Daniel Howell, you sound like the nurse who called me about Phil Lester?" I inquire.

"Oh yeah, come in!" She replies in a cheery tone.

I walk inside and see the horror of my Philly laying down on that bed lifeless...you can see why I stopped seeing him huh?

"Ok so as I said before on the phone, we've started to bring him out of the coma, his body is becoming stronger by the minute so he has a lot of fight left in him" she chuckles.

"How long will it take?" I ask.

"Well he will be out of it today but as your quite close to him so Phil's doctor thought it'd be a good idea if you were that first person that he sees." She smiles to herself and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside an the thought of seeing Phil again.

"I'll leave you with him, when he wakes up, press that button over by his bed, oh and you have a free pass to the canteen, looks like you need some food." She says scanning my body in a worried way. She is right though, I can nearly see my ribs through my belly...not good.

"Ok, Thankyou!" I smile weakly at her as she walks out of the room with a clipboard in her hand, probably about Phil most likely...

I give Phil a kiss on the forehead and walk out to the canteen to get some good needed food.

Phil's POV

*just before Dan came in*

I can hear this nurse talking to someone behind my hospital door, I also hear a familiar voice as well but I just can't put my finger on who it is exactly...

I hear footsteps, no wait...two! Two pairs of footsteps, probably that nurse and doctor from before.

"Ok so as I said before on the phone, we've started to bring him out of the coma, his body is becoming stronger by the minute so he has a lot of fight left in him" I hear a woman say, must be the nurse.

"How long will it take?" I hear...no, it can't be? Dan? Why would he be here? I thought he gave up on me...wow.

"Well he will be out of it today but as your quite close to him so Phil's doctor thought it'd be a good idea if you were that first person that he sees." I hear the nurse reply, and hold on a minute?! I'm finally getting freed from my body?! Metaphorically speaking of course.

And Dan has come to see me...so that's who they called.

There then was silence.

"I'll leave you with him, when he wakes up, press that button over by his bed, oh and you have a free pass to the canteen, looks like you need some food." What the nurse says catches me of guard; if that's even possible for someone in a coma...but anyway that catches me of guard when she says to Dan about 'needing food', he hasn't been eating...because of me? Loneliness? Nah he has friends and that's why he stopped seeing me. Because he gave up, just like everyone else did...

I hear heals walks out, must be the nurse but not the second pair. He's still here.

What I think are Dan's footsteps walking towards me and I feel a warm sensation on my forehead and the footsteps walk out and the door shuts again. That feeling is the best feeling I've felt in the time I've been in this damn coma.
