Chapter Five

Phil's POV

Chris and PJ are actually really cool people to hang around with! We all like the same games and the same food. We're just all friends for life!

"I think we should be heading back now, it's 9pm!" Dan says.

"Good idea, I was nice hanging out with you guys though, you should come over to ours tomorrow maybe?" Dan suggests.

"That sounds great!" PJ said. he's not as shy now since he now knows us a bit better which is good bacause use he seems pretty cool.

"See you tomorrow then!" I say back cheerfully and with that we walk back to our dorm. We open it up and walk inside.

"So, what do you wanna do then?" Dan then asks.

"I dunno, what about..." I look around the room but there's nothing to do. "How about we go get some dinner? Because I am staarrving!"

"Ok, sounds good. There is a pizza place just by Campus, Wanna go there?" Dan suggests.

"Sure, that sounds great!" I say agreeing with Dan.

We walk out of the dorm and we start walking towards the pizza place. We walk down the death stairs, walk out of our dorm block, and over to the pizza place.

We walk inside and we see a few other people from campus. Dan then pushes me to this table in the far corner away from everyone and sits me down.

"What would you like, Phil?" Dans asks.

"Umm..." I then ponder on what to have. What do I usually have...oh yeah! "Can I have a pepperoni one please?" I ask.

"Sure, I'm having that too." Dan says agreeing with me.

I then see him order but as I see him order, I see Emma...she's so pretty! Then she sees me and starts walking up to me...oh my!

"Hey phil" she says smoothly.

"H-hey Emma!" I say excitingly but nervously.

"Who are you here with then?" Emma then asks.

"Oh just my dorm mate who's over there ordering pizza." I say trying not to make a big deal out of it.

"Oh right, my friends have left me so do you mind if I sit with you and your dorm mate then?" She questions.

"Of course!!" I answer back straight away, to needy? Naaah...

She then pulls up a chair and sits down next to me.

Dan's POV

I grab the pizzas that I ordered for Phil and I and then walked back over to see Phil, with this girl...umm.

"Hey, got your pizza." I say in a straight voice.

"So you must be Phil's dorm mate..." The girl says lingering for my name.

"Umm, Dan" I answer.

As I start to eat my pizza which by the way is amazing! Phil and that gir- wait. Long wavy brown hair, twinkling brown eyes, great figure, lightly tanned...it's Emma. The girl that Phil likes...how can I compete with...her, she's perfect! I feel so awkward because I'm like the third wheel...I like Phil but Phil likes Emma. Rage and jealously then fills my voice and I just jump up which the startles Emma and Phil then I say "hope you guys have a great time!" Loudly with rage and jealously still in my voice as I walk out back to my dorm...

I cry on my bed over nothing really, I should be happy for Phil but I like him so much!! I've just made a fool of myself...

I then hear two voices outside the door. Phil's and a girls voice, that must be Emma's then...

I walk up to the door whist drying my eyes and listen to what there saying.

"Hey Emma, before you go. D-do you wanna...I dunno umm g-go out with umm me?" I hear Phil say which just stabs me in the heart.

"Yes! I thought you'd never ask!!" Emma replies back sounding excited. But then I hear silence which is them kissing most likely...

I trudge back to bed and pretend I'm asleep as Phil then walks in and closes the door behind him, I then hear him walking over to me.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why because I've done nothing wrong but, i really am...friends for life, am I right?" Phil whispers into my ear which makes single tears drip down my cheeks.

I feel really stupid now...
