【Ｏｕｒ Ｆｉｒｓｔ Ｄａｎｃｅ】ⱽⁱᵒˡᵉᵗ ᴱᵛᵉʳᵍᵃʳᵈᵉⁿ ˣ ᶠᵉᵐʳᵉᵃᵈᵉʳ

♤ Seven ♤

"Thank you! I tried my best." Violet responds and I look at her.

"You really did. It's okay, when I keep this, Right?"
"Of course, I wrote it just for you."

The butterflies in my stomach won't stop. After Violet says that to me, I carefully fold the letter and put it into my pocket.

"What do you want to do now?" I ask the girl infront of me. She seems to think about my question, but can't find an answer, therefore, she shrugs and asks me the same.

"Well, I don't know either. We could just walk around or hang out in the garden outside, as Long as the sun still shines outside." I suggest.

"The garden sounds good. Perhaps, we can see the sunset later." Violet agrees and we already make our way outside.

The birds are chirping quietly and the flowers and trees shake lightly in the wind. Leaves rustle, we can here bees and other insects, while heading to a nearby bench. We sit down on it, infront of us, a little fountain surrounded by more flowers and bushes.

The sun isn't setting yet, but it won't take long until it does.

"Look! There are Violets! Flowers named like you!" I giggled and point at the ones next to the fountain.
Violet looks to the direction and I can see a glimpse of a smile. I notice, it is more like a sad smile rather than happy.

"Did I-" Violet doesn't want me to finish my sentence and just shakes her head.
After a few minutes of silence, she starts talking calmly.

"They remind me of my past. And where my name comes from and who named me after them."

She really opens up.

"I think it's a beautiful name, just like the wonderful flowers." I smile, trying to comfort her.

"The major saw the flowers, after he asked for my name and I didn't have one. Then he said, my name was Violet." She continues and then looks me in the eyes.

Not knowing what to say, I just look back and watch her blue eyes.

"I'm sorry. I-I don't really know, how to comfort you." I mumble and watch the water splashing in the fountain.

"Don't worry, it's in the past." I nod after her respond.

We talk a while long, until the sun is already setting and the golden shine hits the pure skin of Violet. Slowly the shine fades and we decide to head back.

I am back in my dorm room with my book and about to go to bed, when I am held back by a knock at the door.

With a tired sigh, I walk up to my door and open it.

"What did I tell you about you and her? Stop it or I will force you to!"

"Amy? What are you doing here? How do you know, where my room is? And what are you talking about?" I say in surprise.

"I saw you both coming out of her room and sitting in the garden! Watching the sunset! Of course I followed you! You know damn right, what I am talking about! When we danced, I made clear you would understand, to not make any moves! But instead, you eat lunch with her and spend the rest of the evening with her!"

As Amy talks, I slowly back away and further into my room, which she sees as an opportunity to step into the room. Her voice is fairly loud and I really hope, someone will find her here, because I don't think, I can fight back. At least not to stop her.

"Nothing to say about that, huh? Just stay away from Violet. And from me! Got it?" She asks, but doesn't wait for an answer and turns around.

"No." I say and hope she hears it.

Suddenly Amy stops in the doorway, turns around again and walks straight up to me. Only inches away, she stops.

"Say that again!"
"I said, no!" I tell her, a little louder this time.
"I don't understand, why I  should stop befriending her, when she comes up to me too." I say and see on her face, how angry she is right now.

"Well, I like her a lot and I want to dance with her! I don't like you being near her, it's distracting and you dancing with her is just horrible. I want her to be there for me! Not for you, you, you.....talentless little slut! Get near her and I will make your life inhere a horrorshow!" She yells and now leaves.

I am left with fighting thoughts and feelings.

"What am i supposed to do now?" I mumble to myself.

Talking with Violet, just going on with life and ignore Amy's behavior and comments.....or.....break contact with Violet and try to avoid her?
