"Please kill me, Sukuna."
—~—
Third Person POV
"W-" Sukuna slowly turned his head towards the (h/c)-nette who looked away as soon as their gazes met, "What are you talking about, princess?"
"I want you to escape," she softly mumbled as she kept her focus downwards. She fiddled with her fingers to try to distract herself from the awkward position she was forced to be in, "You heard, Geto... No matter what we do, I'm going to die either way. We fell into his trap and he won..."
"But why?!" Sukuna exclaimed and (y/n) jumped at his sudden outburst, "Why are you so willing to let me free?! You saw me, I'm a curse!"
"H-Huh?" She meekly questioned and looked at him in a nervous panic- why was he telling her off?
"Why aren't you yelling at me?" Sukuna neared (y/n) and she backed away out of awkwardness. Sukuna thought she was avoiding him because of his true curse form so he stopped walking any closer to not scare her any further, "You hate me, right? I lied to you so why are you trying to help me?"
"Oh that," she sent a sheepish, genuine smile, "I already forgave you."
Sukuna sent her an incredulous expression. The one that screams 'how dumb can you be' kind.
"Although, I have to admit, it's still pretty weird for me to see you like this," she lightly laughed as she referred to his extra arms and face, "But the reason I forgave you and why I want you to escape is... because you aren't as bad as you prompt yourself to be."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well I could be wrong but..." she trailed off in a way to structure her next sentence, "You were not what I expected a curse to be. It's just a gut instinct, but I think... you won't hurt anyone- anymore, that is. For all I know, you could've killed me whenever you wanted, but look where we are now. I still don't condone your past actions whatsoever, but I do believe you deserve a second chance."
Sukuna stared at her in disbelief before bringing a hand to his face and bursted into uncontrollable laughter.
Oh, she really is the dumbest human he has met.
But that's just one of the things he loves about her.
"Now that you mention it, I was supposed to kill you when we first met," Sukuna chuckled and (y/n)'s face slowly drained, "Also the second day. Oh, and when you got attacked by that curse-"
"Okay, I get it," (y/n) deadpanned and Sukuna cackled at the terrified expression she made, "Seriously, out of all of the people in the world- or should I say curses? I don't know anymore- I have to fall in love with you."
She more so spoke to herself at the end and ended up harshly facepalming with both of her hands considering they were tied together. However, when she looked up she was surprised to see Sukuna's face closer than what it was before.
"E-Eh?!" She ended up falling on her butt and scooting backwards but Sukuna only stepped closer.
"Speaking of which," Sukuna murmured and never broke his gaze as he crouched and firmly held her by the chin, "I still don't forgive you for leaving me there."
"W-Well what can I do? You were s-silent the whole time a-and-" the (h/c)-nette released a breath she didn't know she was holding- as well as a few frustrated tears- and recollected herself, "You didn't even give me the honor of rejecting me. You know, I would've really appreciated if you had stopped me any time during my confession just to say 'no, you're stupid. I don't like you' but no! You just sat there and let me ramble and I was so embarrassed-!"
