As far as he knew, he didn't have a heart.

Third Person POV
Everything was in chaos.
Well, it was more like Sukuna had no idea what to do with this newfound information.
All of this time, he actually had a heart? Of course he was human before he transformed into a curse, but he was absolutely certain that it no longer functioned since then.
And not going to lie, he forgot how stressful it was to be a human and didn't like it one bit.
'Why can I hear it in my ears?' Sukuna thought as he kept sprinting to find a safe place to keep (y/n) at, 'It's so loud that I can't even hear what the princess is saying. Is she even talking? She's moving her mouth but I can't hear a single thing she's saying.'
"Suki..." the exhausted (h/c)-nette forced out a mere whisper and didn't even have the energy to keep her eyes open, "Am I stronger than you yet?"
"Princess, if it's too much trouble to talk, then stop talking," The pink-haired male said in a bit of a rush as the said female let out a sound of acknowledgement and nodded, "I'd prefer if you didn't die."
"I'm just trying to comfort you," she stated reassuringly and cuddled closer to him, "I've been calling your name five times already and you've ignored me each time."
"Sorry."
"By the way, you've never answered my question," she said with a knowing tone behind it, "I feel like I am strong enough that I could beat you in a fight now-"
"Yes, princess, you're stronger than me."
(Y/n) instantly opened her eyes and looked up at him in shock by his non-sarcastic tone. She was expecting a sarcastic remark but was only faced with a determined Sukuna looking straight ahead. Even though Sukuna's mind was a frenzy and anyone would've assumed he just said that to comfort her, he meant every single word he said.
"Ah, I see..." she trailed off with a small, gleeful smile plastered on her face before breaking out in a fit of giggles.
"You seem happy for someone who was on the verge of death," the pinkette blatantly said as he stopped for a second- looked left and right for what direction he should go in the large town, before turning left.
"It's just that," (y/n) paused from her laughter and gave Sukuna a toothy grin, "I never would have thought you would have this side of you nor would I be able to see it."
"What side?" He questioned as he found a little cave-ish area at a nearby mountain. Without a second thought, he immediately ran inside and laid (y/n) down by the wall of it.
"This 'caring' side of you. Granted, it feels a bit weird for you to say something nice but I like it," the young royal chuckled before her tone became quiet and rather serious, "I'm sorry for making you worry..."
She looked down and wanted to cry out any emotion really, but couldn't. Fatigue overtook her body but she tried her absolute best to stay conscious to be with Sukuna the longest she could. Before she knew it, she felt herself being pulled into a tight, protective hug.
