"Lady (y/n) is not injured..."
—~—
Third Person POV
The pestering thought could not leave the servant's mind as she attended to her master for the past couple of days. The poor girl fell into the land of slumber and has not awoken since she had arrived back into the castle. The servant was grateful that the young royal was still breathing, however, the amount of worry and questions she has filled her with anxiety.
"What happened to you, lady (y/n)...?" The woman gently laid her hand on (y/n)'s stomach and was glad to see her hand rise and fall to the female's steady breathing, "I still don't understand... you were obviously hit by something. It couldn't have been a cursed technique because yours would've reflected it. Unless you were already unconscious when this happened but where are the wounds to show for it?"
Hamamura let out a distressed sigh and the sliding doors of the infirmary slammed open. This was the third time (y/n)'s father checked up on his daughter for the day and was just as disappointed as he was the past couple of times he visited. Hamamura sent a small, pitied smile as (y/n)'s father kneeled down next to her.
"How is she doing?"
"She still hasn't woken up but she's still alive," Hamamura replied and her gaze fell on the sleeping (h/c)-nette, "My lord, has there been any reports of sorcery used for extensive healing?"
"So I see you've been thinking about that too," (Y/n)'s father exhaled deeply before continuing, "I wouldn't be surprised of healing techniques to occur but not of this big of a scale."
The male glanced to the side where (y/n)'s kimono laid on the floor. It was recently washed but the gaping cuts on the fabric were alarmingly wide and went from the front of the kimono to the back.
There were no doubt that something had went through the maiden's body, but it was unheard of of a technique to mass heal like that. 'Healer' might not even be the correct term considering the only reports of 'repair' were sorcerers that used stitching techniques, which was very similar to what normal doctors would do. Although this might be the golden age of sorcery and a majority of the population can wield jujutsu, it would take the average 'healer' hours before a small cut can be restored- with the scar included- but with (y/n), there were no signs of harm. Not even a remaining blemish.
"My lord, excuse me for my rudeness but..." Hamamura trailed off, "Why have you been so protective over lady (y/n)? She always received training but I believe this was her first ever encounter with a curse..."
There was a deafening silence after the servant had made her statement and she immediately regretted asking. She noticed the man's face harden in an almost contemplative manner and as she was about to apologize, he spoke up.
"I wanted to protect her more than I wanted her to be a sorcerer."
Hamamura's breath hitched and she listened attentively to his words.
"I knew from the very start that my daughter never wanted to be a sorcerer, but as this world turns more and more into sorcery, it was inevitable," (y/n)'s father frowned, "At the very least, I wanted her to survive if she ever encounters danger... I didn't want her to have a similar fate to her mother's."
Hamamura tilted her head in curiosity and the male next to her noticed the small movement. He closed his eyes as if he was contemplating or collecting his thoughts before he continued his story.
"(Y/n) was too young at the time to remember- I think she was either two or three- when all the higher-ups agreed to my wife's execution..."
"E-Execution?" Hamamura's eyes widened in shock, "Execution for what?"
