"We'll see tomorrow, princess."

Third Person POV

"Oh, wow. I didn't think you'd actually come."

Sukuna tilted his head to the left and his eyes landed on the (h/c)-haired royal from yesterday. She carried a woven basket in one hand and a small pouch in the other. The young maiden smiled brightly at the red-eyed male and neared the area where he's sitting.

"I did say that I'll see you tomorrow," Sukuna dismissively shrugged as the girl sat down with him.

"No you didn't," she pouted frustratedly, "You said 'we'll see tomorrow'."

"You're forgetting a word there, 'princess'."

"Shut up! And stop calling me that!" She softly smacked his arm and Sukuna faintly chuckled.

"I didn't know we were on friendly terms already," The pink-haired male jokingly stated, referring to his arm and her attitude, "You royalty are pretty damn rude."

"And you're pretty damn annoying..." (Y/n) mumbled and began to unpack the basket.

"Ooh feisty, are we?" Sukuna jeeringly smirked, grabbed a wrapped up rice ball, and began to unwrap it, "Is this how you always treat your guests?"

(Y/n)'s (e/c) eyes narrowed at him before snatching the rice ball out of his hands and putting the food back into the basket

"Fine, no picnic then," she huffed irritatedly, "It's only been a few seconds since I got here! Sheesh... I didn't know I was dealing with a child."

(Y/n) stood up to walk away, but Sukuna grabbed the end of her kimono sleeve and sighed, "Fine, fine, I'll stop. You can sit back down now."

(Y/n) was inwardly satisfied with that victory. She gave a small smile before sitting back down on the soft grass. She handed him the rice ball that he had taken earlier, and unpacked a few other items from the basket.

"Oh? What do we have here?"

(Y/n) snapped her head towards the male as he opened the pouch and held small rice cakes in between his fingers.

"Hey, can you stop taking the food before I unpack them?!" (Y/n) exclaimed and hoped that was enough to distract him from the small snack.

(Y/n) didn't want to admit it but as her apology, she attempted to cook for the first time- and to be completely honest, she was terrible at it. It's not like the rice cakes were inedible, but they definitely were not fantastic either.

But it was to no avail as Sukuna plopped the rice cake in his mouth.

And he gagged.

"What the hell, princess?" Sukuna spat on the ground next to him as his face distorted into disgust.

"I-I'm sorry!" (Y/n) squeaked and lightly patted his back, "I-I made that as an apology for yesterday."

"How? By killing me?"

"I mean-" (Y/n) jokingly started, but became serious once again, "B-But is it really that bad?"

The young lady nervously fidgeted and awkwardly avoided his eyes. Meanwhile, Sukuna internally groaned and thought that he should 'attempt to be nice'.
