James woke up first, he looked down to see a hand on his chest and Ryan resting his head on James's shoulder. James shivered and carefully pulled the blanket up to cover their bare bodies. Ryan's eyes fluttered open as the light hit is face, he let out an almost inaudible mumble and nudged himself to James. "Ugh, we should get up" James said with a groan. He gently kissed Ryan on the forehead then sat up, rubbing his face.

Ryan shuffled over and gently sat on James lap so that his legs were straddled over James' and their faces were almost touching. James wrapped his arms around Ryan's waist as they kissed. The floorboards above them creaked and the large wooden door swung open. Wasp pranced quietly down the stairs and opened the door to Ryan and James temporary room, "Wakey Wakey rise and - oh SHIT I'm sorry!" Wasp quickly covered their eyes upon seeing the couple. Ryan went as red as a tomato, slid of James lap then hid under the thin blanket.

"We'll be out in a minute" James chuckled. Wasp stumbled to get out the door, tripping over a mop as they went. James looked over at Ryan who was still blushing deeply. "Oh come on we were just kissing," James laughed, "it could have been worse." He said with a wink.
"Oh shutupppp" Ryan slapped James playfully on the cheek and bundled himself in the blanket. James got up and walked over to the bundle of clothes that lay on the floor. He picked out his boxers, trousers and t-shirt and put them on. He then picked up Ryans clothes and threw them at him, "noooo it's cold I don't want to get upppp" he wined refusing to get out of bed.
"Well I'm going if you're not." James said while putting on his coat and exiting the room.

Ryan sat by himself on the bed, he rolled his eyes and got out of bed. Underneath the bed was a small photo, Ryan picked it up and examined it. It was a woman who looked about the same age as James with the same red hair and ocean blue eyes. Was this? No, it couldn't be. Ryan hastily got dressed and exited the room, picking up any belongings they could have left behind.

"Hey uh you dropped this..." He handed over the photo which James snatched off of him and quickly shoved into his pocket. "So, we off?" James said trying to ignore the photo which both of his comrades were curious about. "Uh sure." Wasp smiled and grabbed their bag slinging it over their shoulder and opening the door.

The three headed out into the wasteland once again. Their plan now was to get to Ayr, making sure to steer clear of Kilmarnock and the many carvers that would most likely reside there. Carvers were ruthless and cruel, they would use knives and spikes to butcher their enemies then carve an upsideown cross into their chests. A bunch of 'inbred maniacs' as Jane used to call them.

Hours later they finally got to Ayr, a successful trip, there were only a few encounters and nothing they couldn't handle. "Let's go too the beach beach, who am I?" James looked at Ryan who had a clue, "Niki Minaj" James said as they carried on walking.

They got to the beach, and James immediately stripped off and sprinted into the water like an overenthusiastic puppy. The grey and slightly radioactive water splashed up to his waste. Then, like a tsunami the cold hit him, he screamed in a high pitched voice and ran out of the water, "shit it's cold, shit shit shit shit"  James sprinted up to the pair, he was covered in goosebumps and shivering. "Shall we sleep here?" Ryan said slightly concerned about James who was still dripping wet.

Night time:

The campfire crackled and sizzled and the flames danced in the moonlight. Wasp was over by the sea, skipping stones in the moonlight. Ryan and James were sat by the fire, they were getting close to the port now, they would be there soon and maybe, hopefully that's where their new life would start. The three musketeers, wasteland version.
