James awoke, Ryan's place guarding his cell had been swapped out with a worse, less kind guard. He had gotten bored after a few minutes of waiting for Ryan to come back so he fell asleep. That puts him to were he is now, staring up at the ceiling, the cold morning air seeping through his window, it was no later than 7am and the sun had only just arose from across the yard.

James looked at the bucket, it was getting full, he gagged and knocked on the steel door. "Hello, HELLOOOOO?!" No answer, "ANYONE HERE?" He continued to yell and bang on the door, hoping someone would answer. Then the door opened, the leader of the raiders walked in and James slowly sunk away from the door.

"Quit your fucking yelling" the leader said, his words were loud and assertive. The leader shoved open the door and pinned James up against the back wall by his throat. The leaders face right up against James' own. It was only now James got a proper look at him, his half melted face made him look non-human and his one blind eye stared directly into James own as if he could see out of it. The leader had multiple scars, both from the burns and also battle scars which spread in all directions like cracks on his skin.

James tried to speak, his words unable to come out from both fear and the raiders hand around his neck. The bucket dropped to the floor, it missed most of his supplies but it still got everywhere, James winced as the clatter of the metal hitting the hard concrete made a loud sound which alerted the raider. He let go, James fell to the floor on his knees, trying to take as many breaths as he could Inbetween coughs. After he regained his breath he slowly stood up and was immediately thrown back to the floor by a punch to the head by the leader.

"Yell like that again and you won't live to tell the tale," the Leader walked out the door and whistled for a few of the guards, "you're lucky my son has taken a liking to you otherwise you would be dead." The raider walked out the door and two guards walked in. The leader motioned for them to go in, "Do what you want, but dont kill him and you," he pointed at one of them, "Clean that up."

The guards walked in and James was kicked into the floor, he curled up in a ball trying to sheild himself from the pain until his vision faded to black.

Hours later he woke up, he tryed to sit up but screamed in pain, his rib was broken. Ryan opened the door and came in with a clean rag, a bowl of water and a small loaf of bread. "James...oh shit" he quickly locked the door and ran in to sit Infront of him. "You look like a mess" he said gently and with sympathy. He gently dipped the cloth in the water and started tending to James' wounds, apologising everytime he winced. "I'm so sorry, my dad can be like that I'm sorry, I'm sor-" he was cut off.

"You're his fucking son?!" James said with difficulty. Ryan's face sunk, he nodded gently, almost shameful that he was related to the leader of the raiders, he never wanted to be compared to him. James smiled and lent up with all the strength he could and kissed Ryan softly. He eventually pulled away, "you saved my life Ryan, Thankyou."
