Chapter 19: In An Instant

Rico arrived at the CIA headquarters late that night. When he got upstairs to Greene was waiting for him.

"My office, now," He said.

Rico sighed and followed him to his office.

Greene closed the door as Rico sat down.

"Do you know why I've called you here?" Greene asked.

"To take me off suspension?" Rico guessed.

"I'll gladly do that if you answer my question... How the hell can we convince your brother to stop?... He's been fucking up ops left and right, mostly going after the ones Keyen and Delevio are on. It's driving me crazy and at this rate, I'm just expecting him to fuck up every single one... So tell me... How do we get your brother to stop? Because if he fucks with the wrong one, he's probably going to get killed" Greene said, crossing his arms.

Rico sighed, "You're asking me to betray my brother..."

"Rico... He's putting himself in danger, we need to keep him from doing something stupid we don't have issues so that everymon can feel safe so that the president doesn't chew me out, SO HE DOESN'T BECOME A NATIONAL SECURITY PROBLEM, so please Rico, what is your grand proposal? Oh, no wait, you're telling me to let Lukarin run around and do our jobs, I will not have it. So, Rico what am I supposed to do?"

Rico was silent, Greene sighed...

"If you find someway to get Luke to stop, or to turn himself in, I'll end your suspension. If you don't, it will last longer... We cannot let an ex-agent on a vendetta drag this country threw the mud... Take as long as you fucking need, but one way or another I'm going to have to stop this!"

Moonlake hummed a tune as he walked up to Ketsters flat, the Eevee was about to reach for the door when he heard a shout coming from the other side of the door.

"The hell?" He said to himself, he opened the door and peeked inside.

There were pillows on the floor. The TV was smashed, there were broken dishes on the floor and there were scratch marks on the door.

Moonlake reached into his bag and grabbed his gun, he closed the door behind him and started moving around the house, finally he found Ketster sitting in a corner mumbling to himself, he look like he had been traumatized.

"Hey-"

Ketster shouted and pressed himself on the wall.

Moonlake lowered his gun and slowly walked over to him, "What's wrong?"

"I had a dream... I don't know what happened, but I killed a lot of Pokémon..." Ketster said.

"Yeah his memories are slowly returning..." The Eevee said, then Moonlake noticed the room was getting hot and looked at Ketster, "Ketster?"

Moonlake gasped and ran out of the room, what followed was an explosion that blew a small portion of the building off, sending debris everywhere. Moonlake groaned, his ears were ringing and his face was covered in blood.

"Ah!" He shouted, "My arm..."

The Eevee slowly picked himself up, he was so disoriented, he had trouble standing, the air was dusty and he could hear the faint screams of Pokémon nearby. Then he saw a paw reaching out from under the rubble, he used his powers to move the heavy pieces of debris and revealed an unconscious Ketster. Moonlake picked him up with his right arm and slung him on his back, he was heavy but not heavy enough to keep Moonlake from moving. By the time they left the area, the police, bomb squad and fire brigade arrived.

Later that night, Surrey, England...

"Well this complicated things" London said.

"Indeed it does-" Isabel said, she was having a look at Moonlakes arm.

"Why can't you use your powers?" She asked.

"I can heal myself, but it always hurts when I do it-" Moonlakes said, looking at his bruised arm.

Kovar and his daughter arrived at the house to check on Ketster's condition.

"He blew off a good chunk of the flat, and because of this incident 4 children are now orphans..." Kovar said.

"There were fatalities?" Moonlake said...

Kovar nodded, "6 dead..."

"Arceus!" Isabel shouted.

"Kai probably knows where he is now..." London said.

"London, a word-" Kovar said.

London looked at Isabel and Moonlake before following Kovar outside to the front by the car, standing by the car were his bodyguards stood around surveying the area.

"I'm loosing brain cells-" Kovar said.

"Huh?"

"Your mother... She will only cooperate if you speak with her. We have tried everything, she won't even bite her lip, unless she sees you-"

"You can tell her to fuck off then-" London said.

"London! It is critical we get information on how Huang hired her or any secrets Huang told her-"

The Flareon scoffed, Kovar facepawed.

"Look at it like this, after this you probably won't have to worry about seeing her ever again" Kovar said, "But just this once, can you please do it.."

London's eyes turned orange, he was angry and still hated her mother, but if the investigation was to go deeper he had to do it, "Fine"
