Chapter 4: Care

London got out of his car to go to the supermarket, Benoit a French Eevee was accompanying him there.

"You met your mother?!" He said surprised.

"I thought she was in prison. I guess I was wrong" London said as they entered the store.

"She killed your dad... D-Do you still care about her?" Benoit asked.

"At this point, I don't know" London replied, "I don't want her to die, but I still hate her for killing my dad"

"Thats understandable... You know I still worry about you right?" Benoit replied.

London rubbed his head, "Yeah, but you really don't gotta"

The Eevee hugged him for a moment, then he noticed a cake on the shelf and let go to grab it and show it to London, "Please?"

London facepawed, "Whats with you and sugar?... Fine"

"Yay!" Benoit squealed.

New York City

It was a damp night outside in the city and all the Pokemon were winding down after a long day of working and what not. Delevio had just put Lydia to sleep when Luke knocked on the door.

"What do ya need?" Delevio asked.

"I'm going out into Manhatten, I'll see you in the morning" Luke said.

Delevio noticed his knee was wrapped up and there was a healing bruise on his face.

"How did you get that bruise on your face and what happened to your knee?" The Glaceon asked.

"I fell down the steps in the Subway that's all" Luke replied.

"Its unlike you to have so many accidents" Delevio replied.

Lydia sat up and shouted, "GET OUT! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP MOM AND DAD!"

"Sorry" They both said, they left and went down to the living room.

"Look Delevio, I get more distracted these days okay, I'm not perfect" Luke said.

"Do you really think I don't know that?" Delevio said back.

Luke was silent, he sighed and walked up to her, "Look I'll make up whatever time I missed to hang out with the kids up to you when I have the chance okay?"

"You better, now get going" She replied, then she kissed him and went upstairs.

Luke got a duffelbag and left the house, "Wait!"

Luke turned around as she walked up to him, putting her paws on the duffelbag, "Try not to have another accident"

"Okay" Luke replied.

The Lucario then started to walk to the train station. Delevio's smile slowly disappeared and she pulled out her phone, She had slipped a tracking device on his bag when she called him. She got changed and got in her McLaren, she followed Luke into Manhatten. Luke walked up the steps from the Subway station and went into an alleyway behind a bar, Delevio got out of her car and locked the door, she loaded her service pistol and quietly followed him, Luke went into another alley and walked up to an Ursaring wearing Sunglasses. Delevio hid behind a wall as she watched the two have a brief conversation before Luke handed the Ursaring a ring, he nodded and let the Lucario inside, she waited a bit before leaving the alley and walking into the bar, she walked through the crowded bar with chattering Pokemon and slipped into the basement downstairs she could hear voices, the Glaceon walked passed a Pokemon slipping a ring, a similar one Luke had in his pocket, she grabbed the ring from his pocket and kept walking. She rounded a corner on the left and showed a Beartic at a door the ring, he let her through into the basement where there was a rowdy crowd of Pokemon cheering for something; she pushed through the crowd and saw two Pokemon a Lucario and an Incineroar both shirtless, she gritted her teeth because she knew who the Lucario was and she just felt like she wanted to scream.

"Are you fucking kidding me" She mouthed.

A Pangoro blew a whistle and the two started moving around each other, Luke landed a blow on the Incineroar's face, the Incineroar started to wobble around but then he shook his head and used Malicious Moonsalt on Luke, Luke smiled and waited a moment before grabbing his arm pulling him forward and headbutting him, the Incineroar stumbled backward and shook his head again he shouted as he charged the Lucario, Luke kicked him in the knee, he collapsed to the floor. The Lucario kicked him in the nose and the Incineroar fell back to the floor groaning.

"3!..2!...1!" The crowd shouted, then there was loud cheering as the Incineroar still laid on the ground and Pokemon walked up to Luke, some were telling him how good he was, others were putting money in his pocket, it was madness.

Delevio squeezed her fist and pushed her way out of the basement, she was furious. Not only had Luke lied to her, but the Lucario was knowingly getting himself into an illegal fighting ring. Just then the Glaceons situation got worse.

"Delevio!" A familiar voice called, she looked over to a table at the bar and saw Greene and Rico sitting there.

She sighed and walked over to them, "Is it true?"

She tossed Rico her phone, there was a picture of Luke kicking the Incineroar in the nose, another one of him delivering the first blow and one of him about to fight the large Pokemon.

"Please don't discharge him, this job is the only thing -"

"Delevio, he's a loose cannon, I just can't deal with him anymore, he fucked up Zurich, he fucked up, Kiev, Shanghai, Osaka, Rio, and most recently Vienna! I'm sorry Delevio... but I'm discharging him, he's too much of a risk" Greene said.

Delevio's heart swelled with uneasiness, she gulped, "Very well"

"Tell him to go to Washington tomorrow to turn in his arsenal and badge" Rico said.

"Whos gonna be my new CIA partner then?" Delevio asked.

"Me!" Rico said, "I'm a certified field agent now!"

"What about Isabel?" Delvio asked.

"Oh, I'll still do some stuff with her here and there, with her but your my official partner now" Rico said back, the Lucario sounded very enthusiastic.

"O-Okay"

"Delevio one more thing... Do not inform him that your the one that gave him away, it will kill your relationship" Greene said.

"Okay" She answered.

"Go home, get some rest okay?" Rico said.

"Okay" Delevio replied, the Glaceon left the bar and got in her car.

"Will she be okay?" Rico asked Greene.

Greene sipped the beer in his mug before replying to him, "Yeah, shes emotionally strong. I just hope she doesn't let her thing for Luke become an issue"

The McLaren pulled away from the parking spot and drove down the street out of sight.
