022. wait, stay with me

lennon was back home now and unfortunately, sydney was dragging her to a party.

"syd, i just got back like.. 3 days ago"
"ok and?"
"why would i be going to a party already?"
"why wouldnt you be?"
"because i really dont feel like it"
"shut up, you'll get to see your boyfriend"
"im still single. just cause you and kio are back together doesnt mean i'm dating vinnie"
"would you want to?"
"i dont know"
"yes you do"
"i really dont"
"we'll see about that when we get there"

the two headed over to one of their mutual friends houses where the party was being held. they saw tons of cars parked outside and loads of people walking inside.

"dude, i cant do this"
"why not? you've done it before and it was fun" syd said while grabbing lennon's hand.
"its called social anxiety"
"yes, yes i know"
"sydney" she whinned.
"just have a few drinks and you'll feel better"
"im meant to be driving"
"kio and vinnie can drive us home"
"i hate you"

they walked in, sydneys eyes lighting up as lennon looked around, already feeling as if she wanted to leave.

"come get a drink with me" sydney said while dragging her.
"but then you'll get drunk and go find kio and then stuff happens and i dont wanna be around for that"
"well then you can get a drink and go find vinnie"
(this is pre-lockdown)

as the blonde and black haired girls took shots, lennon coughed at the strong alcohol, causing the very drunk sydney to laugh.

"your such a lightweight" lennon said while looking at the blonde.
"actually im not, your just taking the less potent alcohol"
"fair enough"

as kio walked over, he wrapped his hands around his girlfriends waist, pulling the drunk girl into him. lennon took her drink, slowly slipping away, not wanting to witness what was about to happen between the two.

some time had passed and lennon was now more drunk than sydney even though she didnt have as much, and she wasnt a lightweight. as she walked around, she found vinnie wandering around.

"hey!" she said, speaking over the music as they stood in front of each other.
"hey, what are you doing here?"
"syd dragged me" her words slightly slurred, vinnie unable to hear due to the loud music.

she grabbed his hand, leading him into the bathroom before shutting the door and locking it. vinnie listened to the blasting music, hearing it through the closed door even if the sound was slightly muffled. lennon leaned up, placing her lips on his as his hands held her waist. he pulled away quickly, looking her up and down.

"whats wrong?" she asked, her blue, puppy like eyes gazing up into his.
"holy fuck, you are so drunk"
"so?"
"so im taking you home"
"but i dont wanna go home"
"well im not leaving you here so, come on"

he intertwined their hands, leading her out of the bathroom and through the loads of people. he helped her into the car before getting in the drivers seat and watching as he made herself comfortable.

they sat in silence as vinnie drove, one hand on the steering wheel while lennon held the other. she played with his rings before pushing her hair behind her ears as vinnie admired her, glancing between her and the road.

"you know, i've never told you cause i was afraid of rejection but i reeaally like you. you reeaally hot too and your reeaally good at sex. but i also wanted to try viagra. but then again i dotn like asking for things and i would be scared" she admitted, tucking her hair behind her ear once more.

he stared at her for a moment before continuing to drive. she leaned back in her seat before closing her eyes.

when they got to vinnie's house, he walked around to the passengers side to find her asleep. he lifted her up, wrapping her legs around his waist as she easily melted into his touch, burrying her head into the crook of his neck. luckily, she had dressed casual and wore jeans instead of a skirt or dress like everyone else.

vinnie carried the sleeping girl into his room before laying her on the bed and sitting against the headboard beside her. she woke up after a few minutes, turning to look at vinnie before positioning herself so she was straddling his waist.

she rolled her hips into his, her hands on his chest for support. she let out a soft moan just before vinnie grabbed her waist, softly rolling her off of him and turning to face her.

"not right now bub"
"why not? are you not interested anymore?" she asked, her eyes tearing up as vinnie pulled her into him, hugging her tight.
"no no, i promise im definitely still interested. your just really drunk"
"what if i still wanna do this?"
"we cant, love. but we can do it when your sober, we can even include the viagra"
"what if i dont wanna do it when im sober"
"well then i'll wait, just not when your drunk like this" he said, softly kissing her forehead before turning off the light and beginning to walk out.
"wait, stay with me?" she asked softly as he smiled.

he closed the door before walking back and laying beside her.

"do you want something comfy to sleep in?"
"nooo its o-"
"here" he said while gettimg up and handing her some.

she groaned before changing in he bathroom into his baggy hoodie and sweats before laying beside him. she placed her head on his chest and her hand right over his heart.

"i like it when your drunk, your all cute and soft" he whispered.

vinnie smiled, knowing she was already asleep, him wrapping his arms around his waist. he rubbed soft ad slow circles along her back as she slept against him, slightly readjusting herself every now and then to get comfortable in his warm hold. he kissed her forehead before closing his eyes, knowing she had returned those feelings.
