The streets

Leo's POV:
"You lived on the streets too death breath" I said as we continued to watch Nico's memories because of Hera. Nico didn't answer but the answer was pretty clear from the last memory of him being chased down an alley and how he looked.

Before anyone could say anything else about it the next memory began.

It was of Nico and the Aurora kid from the last memory, the two of them were sitting around a small fire in an alley way. Nico was shivering "here take it" Aurora said handing Nico her aviator jacket.

"Thanks" Nico said she just nodded her head then sighed "so why'd you leave camp half blood" she asked Nico "I could ask you the same question" Nico said. "I left because I realized after my dad claimed me and my brother how disposable we are to the gods and I wasn't going to be a pawn in their sick games" she answered.

"My sister died on a quest" Nico replied "who's your brother" he asked "it doesn't matter I'm not going to see him again" she said using her fingers to brush some dirt out of her blonde hair. "So your dad" Nico started to ask "is an asshole who wants to use me the way he uses my brother in his game" she interrupted.

"First rule of survival out here kid don't ask questions you'll get killed that way kid" she told Nico. "What's the second" he asked "that's a question and the second rule is don't go looking for trouble" she answered.

The memory ended "how long were you on the streets" Percy asked "a few months" Nico answered "we looked for you out there Nico but we couldn't find you" Annabeth said. Nico looked shocked he probably just figured that they gave up on him then the next memory started.

A bunch of menacing looking kids with swords had Nico cornered in an alley way "we'll take him to Luke he'll get him to pledge his loyalty" one of the guys said. "Hey" a voice yelled from the back it was Aurora "what are you doing here" the same guy asked "we have a deal Ethen I stay out your way and you stay out of mine" she answered.

"And we kept our word we've done nothing to you" he said "that kid is under my protection and unless you want me to go talk to you're friends at camp about what your boss is doing you'll give him back to me" she retorted.

"Fine take him" he said she led Nico out the alley and kept walking "what was that about do you work for that Luke guy" Nico asked. "No we might share the same ideas about the gods but I'm not going to blow up New York for it" Aurora answered.

"So who's side are you on" Nico asked her "mine I left camp to get away from this stuff I'm not going to get involved in this war" she answered.

"She's got a point" Percy said "I'm pretty sick of being their pawns" Percy remarked I agreed with him and I'm sure everyone else did too we were all pawns in their sick games.

The next memory was of Nico and Aurora getting attacked by a hell hound it bit Nico as Aurora brought down her sword and killed it but Nico was badly injured. "Crap this is bad" Aurora said as she examined Nico's side where he was bitten by the hell hound.

"Where are you taking me" Nico asked as she dragged him towards an apartment building around the corner of the alley way. "I need someone to help you no questions asked theirs only one person I know who will do that" she answered.

"Who" he as asked "my brother" she said as she took a key out of her pocket and opened the door to the apartment and I recognized who her brother was. "Will I need your help" she said "Aurora what's going on is that Nico di Angelo" he said "yeah and he got bitten by a hell hound he needs help" she answered.

The younger Will Solace fixed Nico up till there was barely a mark then sat him down on the couch so he could talk to his sister. "Where have you been mom's has been worried about you and so was I" he asked "I needed to figure something out okay and I found him on the streets" she answered.

"Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase are looking for him I have to tell them where he is" Will said and with that Nico bolted he wasn't going back. He ran till he reached an empty alley way he saw a blue triangle that glowed when he touched it.

It became a door way Nico figured that they weren't far behind him so he went in the door closing behind him.

"So that's how you ended up in the labyrinth we thought you fell in the entrance here at camp" Annabeth said "yeah figured it was better than facing everything" Nico answered.
