Memories

The Underworld

Rayna's POV:
We had just watched Nico leave camp half blood and about half of the traumatic memories he had and it would only get worse from here. He sat next to me on the couch his eyes were fixed on the floor and his hands were bunched up in fists and shaking.

I shared a concerned look with Jason we both had the same thought get Nico though this then deal with everything else after we got him out of here. Hera had to stop this at some point Nico would run out of traumatic memories and this madnesses would end.

The next memory began Nico was sitting in a graveyard somewhere in Boston he was perched on top of a grave and was clearly waiting for someone. We didn't have to wait long someone in a dark hoodie walked towards where Nico was sitting.

"Aurora" Nico acknowledged "Nico" she replied lowering her hood so we could see her sunshine blonde hair and blue eyes. "I was shocked to get a message from you, don't you ghosts to gather your information for you these days" she said holding up the note.

"Your information is more reliable, and it's good to see a familiar face it's been a rough couple months" Nico answered "what happened to your camp crush" she asked. "He with a girl now" Nico replied bitterly "can you at least make fun of her" Aurora said "no she's perfect and smart" Nico answered.

"Thanks Nico" Annabeth said and a small smile crossed his face momentarily.

"That's brutal" Aurora added sympathetically as she sat on top of a grave across from Nico "yeah that's why I left, again. And then I heard a rumour and you know if it's true or not". "I do know I figured you'd show up sooner or later Ghost King" she added with a raised eyebrow.

"You heard about that" Nico asked "this may not be Manhattan but I still here everything that goes on and that's why you're here" she answered. There was a moment silence before Aurora spoke again "it's true, with Gaea rising the underworld is becoming free game".

"So I can bring Bianca back safely " Nico asked Aurora sighed "from what I've been told yes, but stuff like this always comes with a price" she answered. "Even if their is I'll pay it to get her back this may be my only chance to get her back without anyone else getting hurt" he replied.

Nico sighed and looked at Aurora and his eyes softened "Will's okay in case you hadn't heard" "I did hear head medic and head of cabin seven that's his dream come true" she answered. She stared at Nico for a moment then realization washed over her face "you like him don't you".

Panic appeared on Nico's face both past and present "no I don't" he replied quickly Aurora sighed Nico looked up at her. "I told you before my brother has a soft spot for broken things including people" she answered.

Nico looked like he would rather be anywhere else in the world then spend another second here and Will who was sitting at the of couch stared slack jawed in shock at Nico.

The graveyard memory faded away and the next memory began Nico was in Los Angeles Headed for the entrance to the underworld. He walked past the skeleton guards with no problems and past his father's black obsidian palace into the Asphodel Fields.

Nico neared the edge of the Asphodel Fields when a ghost appeared in front of him "where is she" Nico asked "She is gone, she has chosen rebirth" the ghost answered. Nico looked deeply hurt "there is another one who deserves a second chance in life" the ghost replied.

Nico looked up "another daughter of hades who deserves another chance" Nico said in disbelief the ghost simply pointed to a spot in the Asphodel Fields sitting there was none other then Hazel.

Nico sighed and made his way towards her when he reached her she became a little more solid then transparent and Nico held out hand.

He and Hazel left shortly after that and later arrived at camp Jupiter
