The Aftermath Part 2

3 Person POV:
Nico held on to Miss O,Leary he was barely able to stay awake so walking was out of the question, he had Miss O, Leary set him down near the edge of the Asphodel field. He wasn't looking forward to next conversation with his father about why he had closed an entrance to the underworld.

Nico wasn't sure how much time had passed you couldn't really tell the difference between day and night in underworld the sky was always black no matter what. He sighed as he petted Miss O, Leary "hey girl can you do me a favour" he asked Miss O, Leary nodded her huge shaggy black head.

"I need you to shadow travel me to Boston" he said as he climbed up on to the large hell hound's back, he held on to Miss O, Leary back so he wouldn't fall off. Miss O, Leary turned into the darkness the two of them appeared in the graveyard in Boston.

The sky was pitch black and he could see a large clock in the distance from the view of the graveyard and it read eleven o'clock he still had an hour. He perched himself on top of a grave in the middle of the graveyard Miss O, Leary ears picked up and she shadow travelled away.

Didn't really matter if this meeting went according to plan he wouldn't need to shadow travel back anyways he couldn't go back to camp anyways. Then there was a chill in the air and whispers filled the dark graveyard then Nico saw him rise out of the darkness looking the same as ever his father.

"Father, what are you doing here" Nico asked "did you really think that you could close an entire entrance to the underworld I wouldn't notice it" Hades replied with raised eyebrows. He had been hoping that his father would have something better to do then lecturing Nico about closing one of the entrance's to the underworld.

"Yes" Nico retorted "I also heard about Hera collecting on that favour you owed her" hades replied Nico felt a surge of anger go though him of course his father knew about that. "And yet you run from camp and those who care for you, why"?

"Because I don't belong there and I never will" Nico answered his voice shaking "your lying" hades said "not just too me no that doesn't matter but to your self as well, so why are you running"?. Then their was a long terrible silence between the two of them in the darkness of the graveyard.

"You are ashamed" his father said "no I'm not" Nico said angrily "you run from your friends and your feelings for that son of Apollo" Nico didn't say anything. "And now you turn to her to hide you" "I'm not not hiding from anything" Nico said "then why are you here, I told you before that children of mine rarely end up happy, I want you to be the expectation do not make a choice you will regret".

Then his father dissolved back into the darkness of the graveyard then he heard it the twelve chimes of the clock it was midnight Nico waited a few moments more perched on top of the grave then she arrived. "Nico, good to see again" she said lowering her hood she still had her long blonde hair and blue eyes "it's good to see you too Aurora".

"I was surprised to get your message" she said "I can't go back" "I heard" she interrupted "course you did" Nico muttered bitterly under his breath. "You need my help I presume" she asked "yeah" Nico answered "follow me" she said walking out of the graveyard.

Nico followed Aurora walking behind her for what felt like forever till the two of them reached an apartment building and they went inside. Nico sat in Aurora's apartment she sighed as she sat down across from him.

"I have to go back don't I" Nico said "I think you should do what you think is right as much as I would like to have you join the living without the gods club you should be with your friends". Nico sighed "well that settles it I'm going back this is going to be a fun conversation with everyone when I get back I'll be lucky if Will ever lets me out of the infirmary again".

"About Will" Aurora said "I know how you feel about him" Nico sighed "Will is shy when it comes to this if you want a him you have to be the one to make the first move". Nico spent the night on Aurora's couch thinking about what Aurora had told him about Will and what his father had said could he really be happy?

Nico left Aurora's apartment that morning he shadow traveled his vision cleared up he saw Thalia's pine tree he walked up the hill he was immediately spotted by Percy, Jason, and Rayna. "Nico your okay" Percy said as he and Jason hugged Nico "don't you ever do that again" Rayna said grabbing Nico.

Nico explained that he had something important that he needed to do Rayna begrudgingly let him go Nico climbed the hill to cabin seven he hesitated for a moment then knocked on the door. Will answered the door "Nico you're back" he said Nico wasn't sure what to do or say he remembered Aurora's words "you have to make the first move".

Nico grabbed Will by his tee-shirt and drew him close then he paused "Nico, what are you doing" Will asked softly his lips were inches away from Nico's. "This" he replied, Nico smashed his and Will's lips together for a moment Nico was scared that Will wouldn't kiss back.

Will got over his shock and grabbed Nico by his waist and kissed him back they kissed until Nico pulled back to breathe "well it's about time" Percy said everyone was standing behind Nico. As per camp tradition they all lifted Nico and Will onto their shoulders and threw them into the lake.

Nico smiled he was surrounded by his friends and he had Will next to him Nico kissed him again and finally after so long he was home and he was happy
