In the morning the cadets that joined the scouts were lined in front of stables full of horses.
" Attention," A man in front of us says and all of us cadets salute him. " I'm section commander Ness, and this girl is my horse. Fair warning she is rather partial to pulling hair so I would watch out if you don't want to go bald,"
Just after he says that the horse goes after his head trying to eat his hair or something like that.
We were being trained for the expedition that would be taking place in two months. We didn't do combat or anything like that it was mostly formations and stuff like that.
" You rookies will be here, " Section commander ness says pointing at a place on the formation drawing upfront " Between the wagons and the scout's support squad. You will run spare horses and also relay signals."

Us cadets were walking outside of HQ in rows, just minding our own business. Then I hear a voice calling out to Mikasa and Armin, I look over my shoulder and I see Eren talking to them. People start says how good it is to see him and things like that.
" Oh, hey guys you all here," Eren says " wow if all of you are here does that mean you're saying you all joined the scouts?"
" Well yeah why else would we are here," Connie says
" Yes of course. So Jean, Annie, and Marco went to the military police then?" Eren asks
I see Jean walk up behind Eren, everyone looks up when they hear him walking up. Eren turns around and looks at Jean,
" Wait for a second, you joined too?" Eren asks Jean
" Marco is dead," Jean says,
" You what? What are you saying?" Eren asks " Marco is not dead, you're just kidding around right?"
" I wish I could tell you he died nobly or heroically, truth is I don't know how he went out. He died alone, there was no one there to see it happen." Jean says
" Marcos dead," Eren says trying to take in what was just told to him. The atmosphere was now very tense and uncomfortable to be in.
" Alright rookies for up," A voice yells " Your uniforms are here,"
We all look over to see section commander Ness and another guy that have folded green capes in his hands. He hands us the capes and we put them on.
~ TIME SKIP ~
" So then you guys are real?" Eren starts
" Yes, we will be in the upcoming operation as well," Mikasas answers
" Hey, Eren? I heard that when you were in your titan form you unintentionally tried to crush Mikasa, mind wanting to tell us what that all is about?" Jean asks
" Your wrong, he thought he was just swatting a fly nothing more," Mikasa says
" I wasn't asking you, " Jean replies " Oh by the way that cut on your cheek looks pretty deep, and just how did you get that again?"
" Apparently it's all true when I was a titan I tried to kill Mikasa," Eren says
" Apparently? As in you don't remember that you did or not?" Jean asks " So basically you can turn into a 14-meter tall monster at will, and when you do you don't have even full control over it?"
" Not yet, that's right," Eren says
" Do you hear that everyone, what a fine situation this is? Our lives and all of the man kinds rest on his shoulders, I am guessing we will all end up like Marco. Dead well before Eren even knows it," Jean says to us behind him
