Chapter 22

One Month Later....

Sarah's POV

When I opened my eyes, all I felt was pain and burning. My whole body was covered in cuts and stabs. The one on the thigh hurted like hell. Yesterday when Gio came to hit me, he crossed his limits and stabbed right on my inner thigh. I was happy that he hadn't yet raped me but I knew it wouldn't be long before he did. I was not worried about my body anymore, but as my vomiting continued and I didn't get a single period since I arrived, when I should have gotten it ages ago, confirmed that I'm pregnant and therefore, I didn't want anything to happen to my lil one.

I had accepted my fate and lost all beliefs of Fernando coming for me. As it is he wanted to get rid of me, why would he save me. I hadn't revealed I was pregnant although I should have. Maybe he will change his mind? I made up my mind to reveal it. The atmosphere was getting colder and saw a distant light get switched on. Instead of hoping someone would come save me, I now hoped to change Gio. How dumb of me. I was lost in thoughts....

"Enjoying yourself, aren't you?" He said, rubbing his hands from the cold. He entered the dark room I had been kept in for the month. I had not seen daylight or anyone else except Gio himself. Even Jacob did not come inside.

"G-Gio I need to tell you s-something." I stuttered with a dry throat and lost voice.

"Go ahead."
"I-I'm pregnant."

"Come on. I wanted to hear something new. I already know that and have no intentions to not kill that devil inside you." he said laughing and sharpening blade. "You know the only reason I give you food once a week is to see you suffer more."

"Today let's carve your back, should we?" He said, smirking.

Tears started flowing out of my eyes. How can someone be so inhumane?

Fernando's POV

It's been 30 fucking days since she disappered or rather was fucking kidnapped. We searched all possible places but no clue. Not one even about Jacob. It was killing me not to be able to be near her. I was in my office ready to pull my hair out due to what was happening to me. I looked at her engagement ring and thought about all the good times we've had together and blamed myself for this. I knew it was Jacob who was lying then why did I have to push her away? Why? What if I would have just listened to her and killed Jacob then and there? Nothing would have happened and she wouldn't have to go through whatever shit she's going through right now. I knew she would be going through a hard time. After all, the bastard who took her away from me is my brother. Someone knocked on the door and I composed myself.

"Come in," I replied and my father walked in.

"Son!"

"Father. I haven't seen you around a lot. Where were you?" I asked with concern. I may act tough in front of the world but I had a soft spot for my family and friends.

"I was kind of finding Gio through my contacts seeing that you were practically dying with Sarah not around you."

"Did you find anything?" I asked, hope laced in my voice.

"Gio is currently in a far away island, that's what my sources say," he replied.

"Do you know which island or maybe the region or something?" I asked again.

"It's located in the Pacific ocean near the Fiji islands," he answered and instantly, I called Jeremy.

"Thanks dad! It means a lot," I said, hugging him and he hugged me back as the ring kept on going on until the last one when he picked up the phone.

"I know where they are. Get the jet ready. We're going to visit Gio who's hiding in the pacific ocean near the Fucking Fiji islands," I told him and he muttered an 'okay' and I hung up.

We left New York as soon as possible with Jeremy, Seb and Adam along with a few other people which also included her brother.

"What if she's already dead? I promised dad I'd take care of her. I don't know what I'll do with myself," Nate mumbled and I placed my hand on his shoulder. The gesture shocked me too but I didn't pull away.

"She isn't dead. I know it," I comforted him as we prepared for take off.

We searched around the Fiji islands for private islands and found only one and quickly flew to that one island. My brother has become rich. The island was indeed beautiful just like my tigru. We landed safely on the island.
