Chapter 27

Fernando's POV

"Don't tell me it's something bad," I pleaded to him.

"It's not bad. It's just that her condition isn't improving when it should be," he sighed and I nodded.

"It looks like she doesn't want to-"

"Don't complete that sentence doctor!"

"I'm sorry," he mumbled and walked out.

I was about to tear up but Jeremy entered the room.

"What are you doing here dude? And who was yelling in my fucking house?" I asked him.

"Well, I came to tell her about our threesome and Sarah and Jasper were having a couple's fight but it calmed down and I don't even want to know what they did after that," he made a scrunched up face.

"But really, why'd you come here?" I asked him with a serious face and he knew I wasn't joking this time.

"I just like talking to her," he said, scratching his back.

"About..."

"Look, there's this girl I have my eyes on," he replied and I nodded in response.

"You chose to tell her before me?"

"It was easier to tell her knowing that she won't judge me or anything," he replied.

"I wouldn't have judged you either," I retorted.

"I'm sorry, okay? I just wanted to practice it? I don't know but something told me to talk to her first. I'm sorry bro but you'll always be my number 2 person!" he said, hugging me. I returned the hug and we pulled away after a moment.

"Who's number 1?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"That girl."

"What's her name?"

"Umm... I'll tell you when the time is right," he replied and left the room.

"Today's day three. People have been yelling in this house a lot and it frustrates me a lot. I'm getting back on track with work but I miss you. Those 2 bastards are with me, and I'm taking excellent care of them. They seem to already be losing hope. I won't kill them. It'll be you who'll kill them after you wake up. Well, I'll at least keep one of them alive for your soft hands. I miss us and I kind of feel bad because Jeremy thought of telling you about the mystery girl before he told me. It feels like he's far away from me these days even though we're literally sitting in the same office. I haven't seen Harp yet and she doesn't know about you. It would make her beyond sad even if she hears about this and I don't want to see her like that. I love you, Sarah," I ended, kissing her fingers. I read out the 3rd chapter of 'The Notebook' to her and fell asleep at the same place.

8 weeks later

It has still been the same routine and I'm getting tired of this except for the part where I sit with Sarah and talk about my day. She is 17 weeks pregnant and I'm getting scared for our babies. She's shown improvement and the doctor says that the babies are fine. Yes, we have twins and I couldn't be more happier. Dr. Drew says that she might wake up in some time and I'm really relieved. I had already read many books to her, but of course like always she didn't respond. The gender of the babies is still unknown. I was going to Sarah when I heard a gunshot. I quickly took out my gun and made my way downstairs. The 2 best guards were already in front of Sarah's room and there was no way those 2 bastards could escape if these people had come to save them. As soon as I went downstairs, I took cover and ended up being beside Jeremy.

"What happened?" I whispered.

"Gio's people attacked," he replied, aiming at one of the people and shooting him while I did the same.

"Well, let's kick their asses," I muttered and we started firing. One bullet did graze me on my right arm but it didn't hurt that much. Gio's people had to leave because they knew they couldn't win in front of us. As soon as they left, I ran to Sarah to check if she was okay and thankfully, she was.

"Day 59. Early talk today. You know that day when you moved into my house? I got shot on my arm and you were so worried. You helped me get it dressed and the bleeding stopped. No one else had cared about me that way and I know that even if it were someone else in my place, you'd have done the same thing but I love that caring nature of yours. Right now, I got shot again because of an attack, and the bullet grazed my arm. I wish you were here to dress it. You could actually be a great doctor, you know? We still don't know their gender but I kinda hope it's a girl and a boy and the boy is older so he can take care of his younger sister. We'll decide their names after you wake up. I have a few in my mind. I love you tigru," I ended, kissing her hand, and made my way out to mend my wound. After that was done, I made my way to Gio and Jacob.

"I see your men finally found where you were. I guess you'll get an extra beating for that if you don't mind," I smirked and tortured them. I know I'd never have been doing this if she were alive. She wouldn't let me torture them to this extent.

"How much more? Can't you just kill us?" Jacob asked with a tired voice.

"Naa! I'm not killing you. My fiance will kill you after she wakes up," I whispered and continued. I kind of felt bad for them but for god's sake, I'm a fucking mafia leader! I can't be so soft.
"You still haven't fucked anyone if I'm right. You should get yourself a lay brother. She wouldn't even know that if she wakes up but I bet I killed her," Gio smirked and instantly put my hand around his neck.

"If you ever try to fucking say anything about her again, I swear to god Gio, I'll cut your dick off and leave you to bleed if you don't die instantly," I said to him with gritted teeth. Just as he was about to die, I left his neck and he breathed in the air.

After finishing up with them, I went and took a shower. I've still not had a release, and it frustrates me but I hold on to it. As soon as I finished and dressed up in shorts, someone knocked on the door.

"Dr. Drew? Did anything happen?"

"It's her," he said before continuing...
