Chapter 30

2 months later

It's been 2 months since I woke up and I'm back to my normal self. We had Heaven's funeral after we returned to California. I never got to see her properly but she was beautiful of how much I saw. Our boy hasn't still opened his eyes but the doctor says that he is healthy. I was sitting on our bed, looking for wedding places when Fernando walked in.
"Hey! How was work?" I asked as he came beside me and kissed me.

"Usual. Deals and stuff. You don't have work?" he asked looking at me. I was still the owner of my company but Sara helped a lot because of all that had happened and I was grateful for that. It seemed as if there was something going on between Jeremy and her but I didn't push her on that matter. Jasper and she had broken up but they were still friends.

"I actually do but I took a day off to search for the wedding venues," I replied and got back to work.

"Maybe we can do a little something before that," he wiggled his eyebrows and I smirked.

"Noo! I don't want to have a bump on our wedding day," I told him.

"Then let's get married tomorrow," he suggested and I laughed.

"You're crazy," I muttered.

"Only for you," he whispered in my ears and it sent shivers down my spine. I was already wet. I turned towards him and kissed him. My hands traveled under his pants. Just as I was about to touch it, the door opened. I quickly pulled away and rearranged myself.

"My eyes! My eyes!"

"Stop being dramatic!"

"You done with sex?"

"Just open your eyes! Why did you barge in? There's something called knocking," Fernando glared at him.

"I'm sorry but Leo just opened his eyes," he said in excitement and we both ran to where Leo was kept. He looked so much healthier and better. I could see his eyes. They're just like his daddy's.

"He's gonna be a momma's boy," I muttered happily.

"Why?"

"Well, he has your looks so..." I trailed off and he smiled.

"Then we better start making more babies cause I can't handle you both against me. You alone have an upper hand," he whined.

"Baby!" I muttered and focused back on Leo. The doctor walked in.

"Hey, Sarah! Fernando," he instantly added when he saw the anger in Fernando's eyes, rather jealousy.

"Dr. Drew! Please check our son. When will we be able to hold him?" Fernando asked in a clenched voice, slinging his arm around my waist and pulling me closer.

"Sure. Just let me check his condition," he replied and went back to Leo. We made our way outside the room.

"Jerry, do you smell something?" I asked Jeremy and smirked at Fernando. Jeremy smirked back.

"Yeah-"

Fernando hit Jeremy in the shoulder and Jeremy flinched back.
"Ouch, dude!"

"If you would have finished that sentence, it would have hurt way more. And I am NOT jealous!" he said, turning towards me.

"Whatever you say," I muttered and looked at Jeremy who was still hiding his smirk.

"You'll pay for this princess," Fernando whispered in my ears and I tried not to show my excitement.

"You like it, huh?" he whispered again and my cheeks flushed red.

"Get a room!" Jeremy muttered under his breath and we both glared at him.

"Leo is perfectly healthy and you can take him out now. We will need to do regular check-ups but he'll be fine as long as you feed him properly. I'll take my leave then," Doctor said, extending his hand to Fernando who shook it firmly.

"Thank you doc," I thanked him and he left.

"I'm so excited!"

"About the punishment?"

"No! About holding Leo!" I said, hitting him on the shoulder.

"Jeez! Sorry!" he muttered and we went to Leo. I picked him up and he opened his eyes to reveal his green orbs. He looked so adorable. Tears started falling down my eyes. Happy tears.

"I love you, baby. You're so special," I muttered to him, kissing his forehead. I gave Leo to Fernando and I saw him smile. A genuine one.

"I love you too Leo. You know you'll need to be strong cause you'll have to protect your younger siblings from the fucking world."

"Language!"

"He's young!"

"I don't care. I don't want my kid swearing at the age of 4," I shot back at Fernando.

"Sorry," he muttered.

"Wait! Did I just hear you say 'sorry'?" I asked as my jaw dropped to the floor.

"I guess the 2 months apart from you changed me and this baby sure as hell did too," he said kissing Leo. We took him to the nursery. He started crying as soon as we entered the nursery. Fernando swayed Leo from side to side and the crying subsided. My mouth formed a smile as I saw him.

"You're gonna be a great Dad," I muttered to him as he put Leo in the cradle.

"Of course I am."

"And you're gonna be a great mommy," he whispered in my ear as we saw the sunset from the window.

I heard Leo cry and we both instantly looked at him. His green eyes were changing color and they turned blue, like mine. It just happened for a split second and I wouldn't have even noticed it if I weren't looking at his eyes at that time. His eyes closed and I looked at Fernando.

"What was that?"

"He was crying and then he slept?" he said, more like asked.

"No. His eyes changed color for a split second," I told him.

"You're just imagining things tigru," he murmured in my hair. I was actually really happy. It might have been my imagination.

"Maybe. That's probably right but it looked so real," I muttered to myself as we both stared at our baby.

"Now, you ready for the punishment?" he whispered in my ear and I kinda felt it was gonna be a bad one this time. I gulped and he laughed a little.

"You'll like it," he winked and walked out. I was left alone with Leo,

"You know you had a twin sister and I'm sorry you had to lose her. You 2 could have been amazing together. You're amazing alone too but I think you'll have a sister to fight with of almost the same age," I said, kissing him on the top. I wasn't sure but I missed my period so...
