(Small warning for some lewdness later in the chapter.)

Y/N POV:

Paimon: What happened, you look like a zombie!?

Y/N: Don't worry about me, you guys should pack up your stuff.

After that event happened last night, I wasn't able to get a wink of sleep, so I packed up my items and waited outside of the building. I probably shouldn't have done that though, because most of my allies look pretty worried about me.

As most of them went back inside to pack up their stuff, Mona sat by me.

Y/N: Don't you have anything to pack up?

Mona: About that, I already packed up earlier, so you don't have to worry about it...

Well, no money means fewer things to bring with you, so it makes sense. Actually, I don't think I've asked about her financial situation yet, she could just be a penny pincher from what I know.

Y/N: Mona, do you have Mora?

Mona: Huh?

I probably shouldn't have said it too bluntly.

Y/N: Sorry, what I meant to say is how is your financial situation?

Mona: Oh. Well, if you want to know, I'll be fine by myself, I don't have any problems with my money, it's a mundane thing to stress about. An astrologist's mind is set on studying the stars, and if I stressed over such a small thing, my judgment would be hampered, which is the last thing I would want.

So she's broke.

Y/N: Okay then, do whatever you need to do.

Mona: Thanks for understanding, Y/N. Most people like to poke fun at it, but it's all for my path to becoming a great astrologer.

Yeah, I don't think they were poking fun, but genuinely worried what would happen if you needed to eat but had no Mora to pay for it.

Mona: If you don't mind me asking, why weren't you able to sleep? Or at least I'm assuming your eye bags were caused by that.

Y/N: Just some stress, that's all. I'll be fine by myself.

Mona: I usually don't help people if it's not important, and I won't be able to read your destiny clearly, but would you be willing to tell me what's stressing you?

Y/N: I'll be fine, just let me deal with it and I'll be good.

Mona: Are you sure, I'll be willing to help-

Y/N: No. I said I'll be fine, so don't ask about it again.

It got very quiet fast, and we just sat there in silence for a while. It felt like the air around me got tighter and thinner. I can't tell her about it, I don't want to have another person I need to keep track of and possibly eliminate, but why? It's a different feeling, but I don't know why I feel like this right now.

Y/N: So, I heard the lantern rite festival was coming up, correct?

Mona: Yes, it should start when we go there.

Another couple minutes of silence ensued after that.

Y/N: Sorry about that, it's just that I want to figure it out again, if I need help though, would you be willing?

Mona lets out a sigh of relief and speaks.

Mona: Since you asked so politely, I appreciate and accept your apology. If you need help with your problem, just ask.
