Determined (Male Reader x Mona)

Y/N POV:

As the shining sun rises in the sky, I wipe my eyelids and open my eyes. I slowly sit up, looking if any of my belongings were stolen. 

I haven't eaten since the hilichurls took my crystal, I should get something to eat. I've heard that a couple of places within Mondstadt make great food, and I'm pretty close to there. But that girl Mona still has that diary. It doesn't seem like she has it on her, or she wouldn't be so laid back with staying in the same area as me.

I walk to her side of the ruins and see her sleeping with her hat covering her face from the sun. From what I see, she doesn't have the diary on her. I release a sigh of disappointment. If I was able to keep the crystal safe, I wouldn't be in this predicament right now.

Well, since I'm going to Mondstadt I should wake her up now.

I crouch beside her, and slowly remove her hat from her face. I didn't get a good look at her face at night but in the sunlight, she looks so, cute.

No, what am I thinking, I'm supposed to feel angry right now, she took the diary.

I slap myself lightly in the face to focus on the task. I poke her in the check, but she makes some cute- I mean she mumbles a little, and continues to sleep.

I didn't want to do this, but she just won't wake up normally.

I release small amounts of my Cryo element, enough to do any damage, but enough to feel the chill on your skin. After a few seconds, she slowly opens her eyes and slapped my hand away. Mona looks towards me, and quickly sits up and her eyes jolt wide open.

"What are you doing Y/N?"

I stand back up, and let out a small yawn.

"You wouldn't wake up, so I had to wake you up using my element."

"Why did you have to get so close to me though?"

"It was the only distance where I could use my element without accidentally freezing you."

I hand over her hat, and she stands up and takes it back.

"Well, I woke you up so we could get some food, and you can explain what you need from me. I'll be willing to pay as long as you tell me what you need from me."

I grab my stuff and start to walk towards Mondstadt, and Mona also follows too.

This breeze on my skin and the sunlight shining upon me reminds me of my childhood before any of the issues arose.

After walking for a few minutes Mona begins to explain what she wants from me. I don't mind as long as I can get that diary back.

"So, can you fight?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Can you use your vision to fight people? It's because I haven't got a chance to see you in battle, so I don't know if you can."

"I can."

"That's good. Do you have 3 weeks to spare?"

Where is she going with this?

"I do."

"Okay, then I'll explain now. There is an ancient dragon set to awaken 3 weeks from now and-"

I turn around and put both of my hands on her shoulders.

"Are you joking? Because if you are, I don't-"

"Can you let me finish? I was about to explain that.

I retract my hands and continue walking.

"5000 years ago there was a dragon named Reombarth that created constant chaos in Teyvat. He had three heads, all with a different element. One head could control Earth or the Geo element. Another controlled Wind, which is the Ameno element. and the last head was able to control fire, which is the Pyro element. People didn't know the dragon's name at the time, he was given the name Earth, Wind & Fire. He was only stopped when he was sealed away by Barbatos."
