Y/N POV:
One, two, three...
If the information I got was correct, this hilichurl camp should be the one that has ownership of the red crystal.
Six, seven, eight...
I've been looking for this crystal, which seems to be a key for one of the ruins. I was a fool for sleeping in. If I got up earlier, I would be able to track them easier, instead of chasing them until it got dark.
Since I didn't catch them earlier, they were able to my their way to the ruin that needed the key. I stretch behind one of the walls of the ruins.
I just have to wait, and I'll be able to attack them at their most vulnerable state.
Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen.
Only fifteen hilichurls, all of them look pretty weak. I could destroy all of them in an instant, but I don't want to damage the crystal or the contents within the ruins. It seems like they are trying to insert it in a hole in the ground, but the hilichurl that's trying to insert it keeps on dropping it.
How can you mess this up, the keyhole is in the ground.
After one minute of the hilichurl attempting to put the crystal in the keyhole, another hilichurl takes the crystal and inserts it into the keyhole. The floor below them starts to open up, opening an entrance to a passageway.
This is it, I should be able to-
A large blast of water from above crushes some of the hilichurls, it's probably someone's element. Only a select few people know about this though, and they weren't interested in gaining the ruin's contents. I was able to catch a glimpse of a figure approaching the hilichurl camp.
"No hilichurls have ever gone near these ruins, why now?"
It's a female voice, and I can see them wearing an outfit with mostly purple, and a big hat that stands out like a sore thumb.
They don't seem too interested in the contents too, so I should be able to slip in and take it while she's busy.
All of the remaining hilichurls rush towards the woman, and I'm able to slip within the passageway. I quickly make my way downwards the spiraling staircase made out of stone. I lift my hand and activate my flames to use as a torch. As I walk down the staircase, the walls show images of a mountain, a diamond, two trees, and 17 people, that are bowing down to the trees, offering some sort of liquid to the trees. After a couple of minutes, the staircase stops in front of a door. I slowly open the door, watching for any traps or creatures inside the room. I walk inside, spotting a single wooden table, with a skeleton sitting in a chair.
As I inspect the skeleton, I can see a thick book that it's holding.
This is what I was looking for, I should be able to leave now.
I take the book and leave the room. As I walk up the staircase, I think why was that guy down there, and why was the room deep underground, even though it was a small room that could have been built with the ruins above? As I reach closer to the surface, I pause. I don't hear any noises of hilichurls, only the sound of the wind.
She was able to beat them, so I shouldn't have a problem leaving.
As I reach the exit to the passageway, I see the same woman that attacked the hilichurls.
"Who are you, and why did you come here?"
Shit. I thought she already left, but she was waiting for me. As long as I don't say anything suspicious, I should be able to leave with no problems.
