Requiem

As I ran towards the direction my brother went, the thunderstorm became more violent, as more lighting was being summoned from the skies. I kept on following the street lamps, and the brick sidewalk. I was soaked, but I could care less. It was a couple of hours since he left, and he said that he was going to get some snacks and come back. He should be okay, he's just waiting for the rain to stop. The closer I went towards his location, the more damage I see.

It's just the weather, nothing happened here. But as I didn't want to happen, I saw burn marks on a stone wall and several pieces of ground removed from the road. What happened here? It could be possible that some hilichurls attacked and some people used their element to protect themselves. But as I was thinking about why there was damage done to properties, I started to see a trail of blood on the floor. I began to follow the trail of blood while being cautious, as this could be a trap to attack the person following this trail.

Who was attacked and why? It doesn't look like they couldn't fight, so they started to retreat. The more I followed the trail, the thicker the blood became. After following the blood trail for a while, it led to an alleyway. I need to be very cautious, this could lead to an attack by at least two different people.

As I went deeper and deeper into the alleyway, the blood had become so thick that I started to walk in it. I need to help this person, they seem to be bleeding badly, and they could die if they don't get medical attention. As I turned the corner, the blood reached a dead end, and there was a body laying there.

No, that isn't any normal stranger, that's person, he's wearing exactly what my brother was wearing, black pants and a gray jacket. I approached the body, and I saw a giant hole in the person's chest, and they were missing a forearm and a leg. No, it's can't be...

I get on my knees, shaking my brother.

"Hey, get up! This isn't funny, please, wake up! I need you, you're the only family I know!"

His blood was smeared all across my shirt, but waking up my brother was more important than a mess.

Get up, I know you can. Every time it looks like things are bad, you always get up and best the problem. You've always gotten up, and you won't stop now.

Tears started rolling down my face, I don't know why, because he'll be fine. He just needs to wake up and get some medical help.

"Please, don't leave me, you've always protected me! I'm not strong enough to go on my own, you need to wake up!"

I stopped shaking him, and my tears fell on his face. I don't know why I stopped, but I think I knew the reason why.

"I don't want to be alone. Please don't leave me by myself, please don't."

No response. I stayed silent for a few seconds, realizing my situation. A person laying a puddle of their blood, with a fatal blow to their chest. As soon as I realized he was gone, I started to scream at the top of my lungs.

"WHY YOU! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO TAKE YOU!"

It's not fair.

Y/N POV:

I quickly sat up in bed. It was that dream again. I looked at my surroundings, and I looked toward Mona. She's close, but she's still sleeping. I would normally be somewhat blushing for some reason, but I can't, mostly due to the shitty nightmare I was given. I get out of bed and put on my jacket.

I quietly exit the room and make sure to shut the door without it making a creak. Then I slowly descend the stairs, making sure that the stairs don't creak. I then make my way across the room, unlock the door, exit, then lock the door on my way out.
