Determined (Male Reader x Mona)

Y/N POV:

I felt drained. I wonder how long it's going to take for Mona to get up. Last night, we spent most of it, well doing the deed, with some breaks in between. I was planning to get some more sleep, but she always said to go for one more, so I was only able to get an hour of sleep. Also, when I meant drained, I meant both physically and mentally, I was tired, and my little buddy down there is now the equivalent to a faucet that when started, just releases some dust instead of water. And that feeling I had was still there, I don't know what's causing it, but I still have that heavy feeling in my chest, and it was uncomfortable. Was it guilt for my lies? Or was it for manipulating her? I can't tell her though, no matter what happens, she can't know about it.

It was pretty windy outside, so I just waited by the door, but it was taking some time for her to meet up. After a few minutes though, she finally finished preparing, and awkwardly walked to the door. Why is she walking like that- oh.

Y/N: You okay?

Mona: Yeah, just a bit tired, that's all.

Y/N: I see, but I can carry you if you want.

Mona: You know, since I was so kind to you last night, I think it'll be fine if you carried me for a few hours.

Yeah, kindness, that's what caused all of last night.

I bent down so Mona could get on my back, and she stunk into it. I readjusted my stance and left the hotel, making my way out of town.

Y/N: So, I guess we're going to Ningguang's new residence, I wonder what'll look like.

Mona: With all the money she has, I'm sure she'll be fine, it's still a shame that she had to give up that floating palace, you could see the stars without any of the city lights.

Well, it would've been a bit awkward if we had to meet up there, since the last time I was there I had to take some documents from her. But I think I have a plan for this, at minimum, it'll be a good way to stall.

As we walked out of town, I got to see all of the damages that were caused by the shockwave, I would've never thought they could have enough power to cause this.

Mona: So, can I ask some questions of you now?

Mona spoke very close to my ear, and it was weirdly tingly.

Y/N: Hey, could you back up from my ear, I could still be able to hear you a little farther away, you know.

Instead, she got closer and whispered very close to my ear, pretty much touching it.

Mona: I want you to hear it, so you won't misunderstand the question, that's all.

She backed away from my ear, but she knew I paid full attention to her.

Mona: So, first off, who was that kid yesterday?

Well, this could complicate things.

Y/N: I have no idea who he was, I just thought he was an opponent trying to attack you.

Mona: Ah, I see, because from my readings, I was able to tell that he was sent to assassinate you by End.

This could definitely complicate things.

Mona: So, did you have any connections to End?

I'll try not to reveal anything too big, maybe something that won't be a cause for concern.
