'The eyes are useless when the mind is blind'

It was time for dinner and it was mine and Deidaras turn to make the food. Technically my  turn to make food since all Deidara does is sculpt vegetables.

"Hey check this out May, I've made art with a carrot"

I look at it and pretend to act like its amazing by staring at it with wide eyes for several seconds. It wasn't too bad but I didn't want to put up a fight with him I couldn't be bothered. I was already tired.

Everyone's excited when I make the food apparently I make it the best I guess it's alright.Today I made miso soup. I hated miso soup, it tasted so good yet the story behind it lurks. It's stupid to say when I eat miso soup it feels as though I've moved on from my mother...not like she's watching over me anymore, she's given up on me like I have.

I set the table up with a little help from Deidara, now all that was left to do was get everyone over here.

I don't have to worry about Deidara he's already here. Tobi comes 5 minutes early to eat. Konan is always on time and Zetsu doesn't eat anyways.

I started with the hardest person to convince...in other words Hidan.

 "Hey hidan dinners ready"

"CANT YOU SEE IM PRAYING"

"Oh wow, now come on eat you foul mouthed sinner"

"DONT MAKE ME ANGRY MAY, I'LL KILL YOU I SWEAR"

"You can do that later, just eat dinner and if you don't want it I'll just give it to tobi"

"Fine I'm coming...just get out of here before I strangle you"

1 done 5 to go

Next up is Sasori.

"Hey Sasori dinners ready, come soon ok"

"Sure what did you make"

"You'll know if you come"

Sasori  sighs and with that I leave.

2 done 4 to go

 Now it's Kisame.

"Hey kisame I made soup be sure to eat ok"

"Yeh let me finish training I will be there in 5 minutes"

"Finally someone who has manners"

3 done 3 to go

Now time to call Kakuza I made sure not to enter his room he hates it when people do that. So I just knocked on the door twice.

"Hey Kakuza make sure to come and eat ok"

"Hmph"

I took that as a yes.

4 done 2 to go

I went up to pains room. Aka the forbidden room no one except him entered in there.

I was curious to see what was inside but I didn't open the door I just called out to him.

"Pain dinners ready"

And done.

5 done 1 more to gooo

The last person was Itachi and depending on his mood he would either come without a word or eat later when no ones around.

I knew I would find him in his room doing whatever he usually does. I knocked two times but there wasn't an answer so I just let myself in. I was more closer with Itachi than the other members but now I feel as if I can't talk to him either. It doesn't matter though this place isn't one to make friendships it's one for warfare. 

As quick as I opened the door I closed it. I saw Itachi coughing out blood in the bathroom he's been doing this a lot lately and I don't want him to think that I know or care. I decide to knock louder and call out "I'm coming in" before entering.

"Hi May how are you" he said with that closed smile like always.

"I'm ok" lies.

"You don't look it sorry you had to see me-"

"It's fine I just came to tell you dinners ready"

"Well since you cooked today I obviously can't skip"

"Come on we can go down together your the last one I had to call"

The conversations at dinner was wild.

Hidan-  ABOUT TIME YOU CAME. CALLED ALL OF US SO EARLY AND HERE YOU ARE SHOWING UP LATE.

Me: ohhh shut up Hidan and eat the soup or do you want to pray or something before that

Hidan: OH YOU THINK YOUR SO TOUGH WATCH WHAT ILL DO YOU CANT JUST SAY SOMETHING SO UNHOLY LIKE THAT TO ME.

Meanwhile the other members where looking back and fourth between Hidan and May.

me: I'm watching and I'm waiting.

Hidan:  FOR A PARENTLESS BRAT YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO TALK. WHY DONT YOU CRY BACK TO YOUR IMAGINARY MUM, WE ALL KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MISS HER.

I sat there silent. What should I respond with? How should I respond? I couldn't say i don't miss her because I do. I miss her more than anything. For the first time I stayed quiet. I knew everyone was waiting for my answer but I kept silent. I look down at my bowl and just before I was gonna apologise Itachi helped me.

"Hidan your taking it to far I suggest you stay in your place"

"YOU WANT SOME TOO ITACHI"

"HIDAN enough" pain bellowed and with that the whole table stopped what they were doing.
