After learning about Gaara's past once again we set out heading towards the leaf village.Gaara looked at me sternly that was his way of saying someone was following us.I nodded.
We both stopped and turned towards the direction the spy was.He/she was camouflaged well but i spotted them and threw a kunai with a paper bomb attached to it and threw it at there direction.They swiftly dodged it thus revealing themselves from their hiding.We locked eyes for a moment there was something familiar about the spy.Gaara was the first one to break the silence, "Kakashi, what are you doing here".The man named Kakashi replied, "Well i was just heading back from a mission, what brings you to the leaf village". "I came to finish some business with the Hokage, and to drop this girl off", he said now looking at me.I slightly smiled and nodded at Kakashi who was now looking at me.He had grey gravity defying hair and eyes that didn't give a damn about what happened.WOW HE SURE LOOKS A LOT LIKE HOW MY FATHER WAS DESCRIBED.
Gaara's pov
How in the world could she not realise that this was her long, lost father she was talking about.I decided to let her figure it out for herself since it was so obvious.You could just look at them and tell they were father and daughter.I could tell kakashi knew because he was looking at her silently but couldn't have the guts to say it.I whispered to May "that's your father".
May's pov
Right when me and Kakashi were in a staring competition Gaara whispered in my ear, "That's your father, Baka". All of a sudden it felt like the whole world was going to collapse on me, my head started to spin around like crazy and my eyes shut with that conscious escaped me and i could fell myself drifting farther back.Until i felt someone catch me i was pretty sure it was Gaara but when i opened my eyes for a mere second i saw that it was Kakashi...My father.
Kakashi's pov
There in my hands laid my daughter.How i regretted that day i left her and i blamed myself for making that choice, knowing that i wont be able to see my daughter grow or her smile that lit up the whole room.She was now laying in my hands.I couldn't bare to think of the things she went through.I was going to take her to the leaf village and be there in her sad times and happy times, i could finally be the father she was yearning for.
A couple of days later...
May's pov
I blinked my eyes a few times before noticing my surroundings; i was asleep in a comfortable bed it wasn't the most cleanest room I've seen but still neat.I rubbed my eyes like a baby would and stared at the plain white ceiling for a couple of minutes recalling what happened before i fainted. "Mhm, this must be Kakashi's apartment", i said to myself.I slowly got up from my bed and slightly opened the curtains it was night time the moon shone over the Leaf village.I walked toward the door and turned the knob gently.There i saw my papa sleeping silently on the couch I didn't want to wake him up but i wanted to know more about him.I clenched my fists trying to gather all they strength I needed to wake him up. I walked towards him and shook his shoulder whilst saying "papa, wake up", he was still fast asleep.I was getting tired of this. "PAPA, WAKE UP",i screamed into his ears.He jumped out of bed and looked at me in the eyes "Are you ok, did you get a nightmare or are you hungry"he said worryingly.I giggled. "It's nothing like that papa, i just wanted to get to know you better".
Kakashi's pov
When May giggled it was like the world stopped for a moment, forgetting all the problems and worries.And when she called me Papa i could feel my heart beat louder.I cant believe after i left her she still calls me 'papa'. I really don't deserve that name. "Papa", she said. "Oh sorry dear i was lost in my mind for a second, what was it you said"i said with a closed smile. "I just wanted to know a little bit about you, and then I'll tell you a little bit about me", she said so innocently. "Well, I'm a jonin of the Leaf village and I'm going to be leading a three man squad tomorrow". "A three man squad what's that", she asked curiously. "Its a team consisting of three ninjas who go on missions together and travel the shinobi world saving people and completing tasks". I saw her eyes widen at each word I said. "THAT SOUNDS AWESOME CAN I JOIN PAPA".Great now what am i suppose to do. "Well its a bit too dangero- PRETTY PLEASE PAPA!,she said interrupting me.OH NOO SHE'S DOING THE PUPPY EYES. "Fine but just don't do that sad face",i said giving into her puppy eyes. "Thanks papa", she said.Then the most surprising thing happened, she hugged me.It took me a second to realise what was happening and i then wrapped my arms around her slim body and pulled her body closer to my chest. "I love you", i whispered and then released her.She looked up at me and smiled before wearily closing her eyes.She must have been tired, i picked her up and carried her into her room.I caressed her cheek.
