"sungchan!" jaeeun yelled at sungchan, who was now laughing at his sister, whom he'd recently scared. "i'm sorry!" he apologized as jaeeun hit his arm.

after making him regret scaring her, jaeeun hugged her younger brother and sighed, "how has your first year of college been?" she asked, pulling away from her brother and he shrugged, "it's okay. how are your classes?"

"they're good. i've been studying very hard. actually, me and hyuck have been studying together a lot. he's really smart." she smiled and sungchan raised an eyebrow, "you two seem close." jaeeun nodded, "i mean, yeah. we've always been close."

"yeah, but you're spending a lot of time together. and everytime i see you two around campus, you're holding hands or hugging. what's up?"

"nothing! he's just very affectionate and i just don't mind." she explained and sungchan scoffed, "okay. well do you like him?" jaeeun thought for a second, pulling her bag on her shoulder and she nodded, "i do. i really really do, channie." and with that, she started heading to her first class of the day.

sungchan watched as his as his sister walked away and shook his head, "he likes you, too, idiot." he thought, walking to his own class. her first class was history of chinese traditional history. she instantly found donghyuck but to her dismay, he was sitting and talking with a girl that jaeeun didn't know.

she didn't want to interrupt them so she sat in a seat at the back of class and took at her supplies for class. donghyuck kept looking at his phone, worried since he couldn't find jaeeun, oblivious to the fact that she's seated two rows behind him. so he texted her.

behind you.

donghyuck turned around and saw that jaeeun was, in fact, behind him two rows back. he quickly grabbed his stuff and moved into the seat next to her, "why didn't you come and sit with me?"

"you were in the middle of a conversation. i didn't want to be rude. plus, you could've finally gotten a girlfriend."

donghyuck rolled his eyes, "i don't want a girlfriend, i want you." he blurted out and jaeeun's lips parted in shock. donghyuck realized what he had just said and he got flustered, "i want to sit with you, i mean."

jaeeun nodded, feeling slightly disappointed, and looked to the front of the class as the professor came in and started teaching.

completely aware to the feeling of hurt jaeeun was displaying, donghyuck glanced at her. does she like me? he felt himself feel disappointed at himself for getting his hopes up. she doesn't like you, bro. he thought to himself and pouted.

jaeeun noticed his pouty face and poked his bottom lip, "why are you pouting?" she frowned and donghyuck chuckled, "i don't think the girl i like likes me back." jaeeun felt crushed. he likes someone? she wanted to frown but instead, she masked her feelings and smiled, "i'm sure she does. who wouldn't like you?"

"you." donghyuck mumbled absent-mindedly and jaeeun chuckled,

"that's where you're wrong."

and it's true. donghyuck couldn't be the furthest from wrong if he truly believes jaeeun wasn't absolutely in love with him. and it shocked donghyuck. he looked at the girl and smiled to himself.

so she does like me.

so she does like me
