ever since jaeeun had accidentally confessed to donghyuck a few days before, she had been avoiding him. she was embarrassed. he liked someone else and she just had to confess.
"hyewon." she called, barely above a whisper as she lied face down on her bed.
"i can't believe i confessed to him. he literally told me he liked someone and i just had to fucking confess. i'm so stupid."
hyewon looked at her friend and sighed, "you're not stupid, eun. you can't control your feelings, and you know that." hyewon said, doing her best to comfort her friend when a knock on the door interrupted them.
jaeeun, who was lost in thought, didn't seem to hear anything. she was just laying on her bed, feeling lifeless. hyewon opened the door to reveal donghyuck. he smiled, "hi. is jaeeun here?" he asked, obviously seeing her laying on her bed.
"yeah. but she's a mess. what did you say to her?" hyewon asked and donghyuck thought, recalling the incident from a few days ago.
"why are you pouting?" she frowned and donghyuck chuckled, "i don't the girl i like likes me back."
"i'm sure she does. who wouldn't like you?"
"you."
"that's where you're wrong."
he couldn't figure out what the problem was until he remembered the rest,
as soon as class ended, jaeeun ran out of the door, leaving donghyuck all alone.
and he remembered a day after that,
"jaeeun!" donghyuck smiled, waving at the girl but the girl ran off in the opposite direction.
and the day after that,
donghyuck walked into class, seeing jaeeun sitting down. but she was between two people, trying her best to hide herself.
"eun, do you wanna sit down here?" donghyuck asked, going two rows in front of her and giving her a smile but she ignored it, causing donghyuck to frown.
and yesterday,
"hey, jaeeun, i got you coffee!" donghyuck smiled as he walked into the studio eunhye agreed to meet him in a few days before, only to be met with an empty room.
donghyuck suddenly realized that she was avoiding him. he didn't understand what he did wrong, though. he frowned, "what did i do wrong for her to avoid me?" he asked hyewon in the most heart-breaking voice and hyewon sighed, "i don't know. did you say anything after she confessed?"
donghyuck shook his head, "no. i smiled to myself and was gonna talk to her after class but she ran out and has been avoiding me ever since." he pouted, looking into the room at the girl who looked clearly upset, "i miss her."
