"so hyuck! how was college?" areum asked her brother as they were playing video games. donghyuck was on summer vacation and decided to spend the day with areum. he shrugged, "it was okay. kinda stressful but it's still kind of fun. i actually made a new friend around the fourth week."

"what's his name?" areum asked, not taking her eyes off of the screen. she was focused on trying to beat donghyuck.

"her name is jaeeun."

areum paused the game and looked at her brother. "her?" donghyuck nodded slowly and areum smiled at him. it was one of those "tell me all your secrets or i'll kill you" smiles and donghyuck squinted his eyes at her. "there's nothing going on between me and jaeeun. we're just... pretty close friends."

"mhm... well you've seemed happier over the phone the past few months. does she... have anything to do with it?"

"areum-"

"answer the question."

"fine. yes i like her. it's no big deal."

"it's such a big deal! you've literally never liked anyone! you don't even have girl friends!" areum exclaimed and just then, their parents walked in.

"donghyuck likes a girl?" their dad asked and their mom squealed, running over to her son, "who is she?"

"her name is jung jaeeun. she's a history major."

"is she pretty?"

"very. she's possibly the most beautiful girl i've ever seen." he said, smiling at just the thought of the girl.

"show us a picture!" areum demanded and their mom agreed, "yeah. let's see her!"

donghyuck sighed and opened his camera roll. it wasn't hard to find pictures of her. he had a whole album of pictures he took with and of her. he pulled up his favorite picture, one of her smiling while they were at the beach with their other friends.

mrs. lee was in awe. jaeeun was definitely gorgeous and she could tell she was a nice girl. and she knew he made donghyuck happy. "donghyuck ah."

donghyuck hummed, looking to his mom. she put a hand on his cheek and smiled at him, "she's perfect for you. treat her nicely. and bring her home one day. but not until you can introduce her as your girlfriend."

the memory played in donghyuck's mind as he made his way to jaeeun's dorm. he was taking her to meet his parents. he thought it'd be good since they've been together a little over a month now.

he approached the dorm and knocked, waiting for his girlfriend to be ready. but when hyewon opened the door, he felt anxious and confused. she pulled donghyuck into the room where jaeeun was sitting in the middle of the room, panicking. hyewon sighed, "she has been panicking for 30 minutes. please do something!" donghyuck crouched down beside her, caressing her head.

"baby?" he called softly, using his free hand to tilt her head up to look at him. his heart broke seeing her bloodshot eyes with tears glossing over them. he'd never seen her like this before and he was unsure of what to do.

"hey hey. what's the matter?" he sat down with her in between his legs. hyewon left the room since she felt she was invading their privacy. jaeeun shook her head, "i don't know what to wear. hyuck, i want to make a good impression on them. what if they don't like me?" donghyuck chuckled at her, wiping her tears away. "hyuck, this isn't funny." she whined, hitting his chest, and he laughed harder.

"listen to me." he started, pressing a kiss to jaeeun's cheek. he pulled away and looked into her eyes, "they already love you. don't stress yourself out, okay?" jaeeun nodded, sniffling a bit. donghyuck smiled and kissed her forehead.

he then stood up, helping her up too and he walked over to her wardrobe. he looked through it and took out a pair of black jeans and a nice white blouse. "wear this. it's simple and not too formal but also not too casual." jaeeun nodded and grabbed the outfit, making her way to the bathroom.

she changed and redid her makeup before walking out. donghyuck was sitting on her bed playing a game on jaeeun's phone. "do i look okay?" she asked, grabbing his attention. and his jaw dropped. she was always stunning but he couldn't help but feel as if she was glowing. even though she was crying 10 minutes ago, she still looked as beautiful as ever.

"you look gorgeous, eun." he breathed out and jaeeun nodded, "thanks. should we go now?" she asked and he nodded, grabbing both of their phones.
