ROSE'S POV.

"Good morning ma," Emma said, handed me a cup of coffee with a huge smile on her face, as usual.

"Mr. Alex and his employees are at the manufacturing site and they've started working." My head clicked at the sound of that name, Alex.

"And again, your presence is needed at the sites ma." She smiled.

"Okay, do I need retouching?" I asked.

"You look perfect."

The drive to the sites was about five minutes.

I got to the building department, they were making blocks to be transported to the locations that are up for construction.
As usual, the workers were all unnerved to see me, quivers here and there. It was time to visit the mechanical department, the site is very big that we had to drive our way through.

"Ma," Emma said ushering me in with the files in her hands. I was so disturbed, fine! I should have thought about this before starting it all, now seeing Alex every day is inevitable.

I took the "you-can-do-it" breath and walked in looking all fierce.

"We need to deliver these machines before tomorrow," I uttered harshly as I walked in, then I spotted Alex and Beatrice. The place was noisy but I believe they could hear me.

He was supervising the engineers and laborers.

"Where is the official for the Fidelity company? Are these the engineers? Why are they so slow? " I yelled, trying to sound like the boss that I am.
I knew Alex and Beatrice were staring at me but I pretended like I didn't see them. Fidelity company indeed, why would he name his lame company that?

"Their boss is right here ma'am." Emma pointed at them.

"Rose!" Beatrice smiled at me and I'm sure I gave her the fakest smile ever. Beatrice and Alex have been friends since our university days, almost everyone was aware of Beatrice's little crush on Alex but I do not think she's Alex's type.

"Good morning Beatrice, morning Alex." I sounded so formal, I inaccurately looked at Alex when I greeted him but he acted so engrossed in the jotting note in his hands, writing down God knows what? What game is he trying to play? Whatever, he's here to work and nothing more.

"I'm so glad we'll be working with you." She uttered.

"That's good to know. well, I would like you guys to be very timely... The mach---" I tried to explain but Alex cut me short.

"We've been able to meet with today's number of machines that are to be delivered, they should have arrived at their various locations. We're very competent in our Job and timely, excuse me" He smiled and left.

"That's my partner," Beatrice uttered giving him a heads up.

"Alright, I'll see you around then," I said to Beatrice.

"Errm, Rose? Would you love to have lunch with me? That's if you're not busy." She grinned.

"I don't know, but I'm not promising. If I'm free I'll come around, where and when do you intend to have lunch?" I asked.

"2 pm, at the main cafeteria."

"Well, the time is fine by me but I don't eat at the cafeteria. If you don't mind you can stop by at my office then we'll go for lunch together." I assured, at least I had to be nice.

"That's fantastic. I'll be there." She chuckled.

I left the place, I wasn't expecting Alex to be too formal with me like he was. Well, it's better that way.
