this is based on taylor swift (aka the goddess herself)'s song 'All Too Well', enjoy
Izzy sits in a small coffee shop, her laptop lying in front of her with some useless schoolwork on the screen. She can't concentrate, at all. Ever since she went to university, there is only one thing on her mind 24/7.
Heath.
He left her. No explanation, no reason. He packed his things, got on that plane and didn't look back. The only goodbye she got was a voicemail, a fucking voicemail. She's so angry, mad... disappointed. But she loves him. Nothing can and nothing will change that. Memories replay in her mind as she stares into her morning coffee, memories she remembers all too well.

"you almost ran the red 'cause you were looking over at me, wind in my hair, i was there, i remember it all too well"
The familiar sound of tires rolling along the concrete roads filled the car and the light from houses, traffic lights and other cars illuminated the night. Izzy stared down at her phone, unaware of the surroundings, and also unaware of her boyfriend who's eyes were locked on her. The only thing he was thinking of was her. How he got so lucky, how she was truly his. All other thoughts dissolved, as if a spotlight was shining down on her.
But upon returning to reality, a glimpse of red flashed before his eyes and he realised.
He was going to run the red light.
The car came to an abrupt halt as his foot slammed down on the brake, making both Izzy and Heath jolt forward.
"Ohmygosh!" She quickly exclaimed, holding her arms out in surprise. He chuckled, looking back at her.
"You okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine, are you okay?! You can drive, right?" He opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. Instead, a small smirk formed on both their mouths, before the car erupted into laughter.

"photo album on the counter, your cheeks were turning red"
"you taught me about your past thinking your future was me"
"Ah yes, here little four-year-old Heath is wearing his mum's clothes." Heath's dad sat with Izzy on the sofa, pointing to pictures in the photo album. This had been going on for what felt like hours, one album after another. They seemed to keep on spawning.
"Aw! You look good in heels." She smiles at the picture and then at Heath, who was hiding his flushed cheeks in his hands, elbows resting on the counter with the discarded photo albums.
"Here's another one, at his twelfth birthday party. Oh look, Ozzy's there-!"
"ENOUGH! Please?! I'm sure Izzy has seen enough photos, Dad. And anyway, we'll miss our movie if we don't leave ASAP." Heath desperately tried to pry his dad away from Izzy, but failed.
"The movie's at 6, we have plenty of time for your dad to keep humiliating you!" Izzy said, almost too enthusiastically. He grunted and returned to his embarrassed position at the counter.
"This is Heath when he was five, we went to the arcade and he won this stuffed penguin. I'm pretty sure he still has it, actually."
"'It' is called Pingu, Dad."
~~~
"'cause there we were again in the middle of the night, we're dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light, down the stairs, i was there, i remember it all too well"
Izzy walked down the stairs, approaching the kitchen in darkness. The fridge made a quiet sound as she opened it, the room being illuminated by the light from inside the fridge.
Just as she was rummaging through it for her midnight snack, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her. She grinned. She already knew who it was: Heath.
"Heyyyy." She turned around and hugged him back.
"Whatcha doing?" He said, smiling that dopey smile he always had spreading across his face when he was with her.
"Snack time." His smile intensified as she raised an eyebrow at him. "Why're you smiling so hard?" She said, fighting the urge to smile too. His smile was always contagious.
"You're just so... you."
"Yeah no shit." They both laughed, and he interlocked their fingers slightly.
"Dance with me?" He took her hand and twirled her around, making her grin.
"There's no music."
"Imagine there's music playing, Iz." She rolled her eyes and let him pull her into the slow-dancing position, and they swayed. Dancing round the kitchen in the refrigerator light.
~~~
She sighs, letting the faint radio playing in the coffee shop ease her back into reality. The smell of ground coffee beans fills her nostrils and she inhales, fully snapping back into the real world. The takes a deep breath and reaches into her bag, pulling out earphones. She plugs them into her phone and lets the music overwhelm her mind. Anything to get her mind off Heath. Anything. She can't keep thinking about their memories, because they're just that.
Memories.
And they're not going to make any more together. He's gone.
He's gone.
