Izzy is in the locker room after B-troupe rehearsal, packing her stuff away. Heath walks in and smiles as he sees her in there.
"Hey." He says, walking over to his locker.
"Hola." She says and continues to pack her bag up.
"How was rehearsal?"
"Eh, okay. Everyone was just talking about the new prom, though." She says.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." He lies. Heath hasn't forgotten about the prom, it's all he can think about! And he wants to take a certain someone, but he can't. "You going?" He asks.
"Um... maybe? I don't know. Prom isn't really my scene if I'm honest."
"You should totally go! It will be so fun."
"Eh.. you're probably right. I'll just go with Pete or something." His heart momentarily breaks. Since when was Izzy into Pete?
"Pete, huh?" He masks his sadness with a corrupt smile. She could definitely see through him.
"Oh, as a friend!" She reassures him. "I'm not into Pete. He genuinely is a good friend, and nothing more." He finds his fake smile being replaced by a real one. "What about you, are you going?" She asks him.
"Oh, I wish I could. But my school's prom is on the same night." He says, making Izzy sigh. "Truth be told, I'd much rather go to this one."
"Then why don't you?"
"I've already agreed to go with my friends."
"Oh, okay. I would say see you on Saturday, but I guess you won't be there." She also takes a smile, she wants Heath to go to TNS's prom. But he's already made up his mind, and she can't change that. "So... see you Monday, probably?" Izzy knows that A-troupe gets Sunday off this week, something about a beach day? He nods and Izzy leaves the room. He sighs. Why can't I go to this prom? He thinks, annoyed.
"Izzy! We need to go!" Izzy's brother, Ozzy, calls from downstairs. Izzy is in her room, doing a final check of her outfit: a black, short dress and a black choker. Her hair is in a half- up-half-down bun, and she has also put on the teeniest bit of natural makeup.
"IZZY!!" He shouts once more. He's obviously getting impatient.
"Coming!" She says, before grabbing her phone and purse. She opens her door and exits her room, recklessly running down the stairs to meet her brother.
"Jeez, be more careful." He says, waiting by the front door, obviously regarding the way she came down the stairs. She glares at him and he opens the door to go to his car.
Heath is sitting in his room. He's all ready for his prom: wearing a white shirt under a black blazer with a burgundy tie, black jeans and his burgundy Vans. He's waiting for his friends to pick him up, but he doesn't really feel like going.
