Can't we just skip?

𝐽𝑈𝐿𝐼𝐸𝑇-

On Monday Sirius showed up to potions looking like a mess, per usual.

Remus had told me that he spent the entire weekend partying with the Slytherins.

I had no idea why he'd want to do that or how Regulus tolerated such a thing but I'd learned to not wonder about Sirius, it was too confusing to ever guess what went on in his head.

"Hello dear friends! And Juliet..." he announced sitting down behind me, the boys first thought was the pick up a piece of my hair and twist it around in his fingers before dropping it.
He raised his legs up and rested them on the back of my chair
"Could you not?" I asked, clearly annoyed.
"Could I not what?"
I turned around and pushed his legs off of my seat, He gasped, "that was rude, these are nice boots"

It looked to me like Professor Slughorn had laid out 3 cauldrons in the middle of the classroom, girls in the front row fumbled to get close to one, I was curious, I had to admit.

I hoped today's lesson would actually be interesting and I wouldn't find myself asleep on Remus's textbook again.

Professor Slughorn finally walked in and stood in front of the three cauldrons.

"Gather around students!" He called.

Everyone got up lazily and piled around the cauldrons, Sirius pushed his way between Remus and I and smiled at me smugly.

"Piss off" I told him, pushing him into Remus.

"No" he replied, pushing back until I slammed into James who was not too pleased.

"I have prepared some concoctions this morning! Does anyone have any idea as too what these could be?" Slughorn explained mysteriously.

Lily Evans raised her hand high as she always did and professor Slughorn called on her immediately.

Slughorn was the kind of teacher to pick favourites and Lily Evans was definitely his favourite.

"That one is Veritaserum! It's a truth telling serum" she said pointing towards the first cauldron.

"Fantastic Ms Evans, 10 points to Gryffindor!
Yes, a rather tricky potion to brew, a month or so ago I found some missing from my stores, I never found the culprit."

He shook his head sadly but all James could do was giggle knowing it had been him who had taken it for the party.

Lily glared over in our direction and James immediately shut up and stood straighter in the presence of the girl he liked so much.

Another girl introduced the next potion, I wasn't really listening, That was until Professor Slughorn called my name.
"Ms Crescent!"
"Yes Sir?"
"Could you tell me what this Potion is?"
I leaned forwards toward the glistening pink potion, the same one that half the class was so intrigued by, it was enchanting, I knew exactly which potion could do that.

"Thats Amortentia sir, the most powerful love potion in the world"

"Very good! It's purpose is to smell different to each person according to what attracts them, which makes it an incredibly dangerous brew"
