Chapter 16 - "They Say It's Calm Before A Storm"
-
She turned the music on, and came to stand at the center of the dance room. Standing on her toes, she marched to the melodious tunes that rang in her ears. She tried following every move she memorized in the ballet video she watched earlier but failed each time.
Spinning around one last time as she threw her hand in the air, she looked up before she felt her ankle give up and she fell.
"Jihyo!" She heard as she looked up. There he was, bending down near her ankle.
"What are you doing here?" Her eyes filled with disbelief.
"I missed you so I came here. Your mom said you're in the dance room so," he shrugged, "is it hurting?"
"You met my mom?!" She almost screamed.
"Tsk slow down. What's wrong?" He looked up.
"I hadn't told her about you yet. Honestly we fight so much that I didn't get time out of it to tell her."
"It's fine. I said I am a friend." He smiled.
"You do ballet?" He asked, his smile growing big.
"You just saw," she shrugged, reaching out for her ankle herself.
"Jihyo I am sorry you had to go to detention because of me. I promise I'll try to be a better boyfriend." He reached out and caressed her feet.
"It's fine," she held his chin up. "You are not perfect but at least I believe we match well. And you're a good dancer and a good kisser. What else do I need in a boyfriend?"
He blinked, "You did not just compliment my kissing skills!"
"I did. Because you have practiced it a lot before so it's kinda understood." She got up on her feet.
"Yah! It was only once that I've kissed before in grade 7 that Sanha mentioned. Nothing more." He hid his blush. How was she so cool talking about kissing and all?
She chuckled, "I don't trust you with that."
"Fine don't," he reached out and pinned her to the mirror in front.
"You ain't starting it here Moonbin!" She warned.
"You looked hot when you were dancing earlier. Would you like a to dance with me someday?" He whispered in her ear, nibbling at her earlobe for a while.
"S-stop!"
"Dance?"
"Yeah sure." She exhaled and it wasn't for long because he connected their lips together.

It was normal Saturday evening as she stood by the bus stop. She was nervous, of course. A part of her kept replaying that soft side of his from that night as the other half of her still argued that he was the same cold jerk who she lost her precious first kiss to.
