Chapter 11 - "But Because It's You, I'll Surely Wait"

Ace had her eyes closed; probably sound asleep unaware of the unwavering gaze settled on her face for a little too long. She had her cheek resting on the couch as she sat on the floor, one hand under her head and the other languid on her own lap.

But the time she opened her eyes, she saw Rocky's little brown orbs staring right through hers and for a minute to be precise, her heart raced a mile. His eyes were wet, holding a lot of emotions at the same time, so she needed to keep looking into them to find out what each emotion was.

She didn't want to look away. Not when he was saying a lot with his lips sealed and eyes speaking. She wanted to know what he wanted to convey. She knew it would be awkward later; this extended eye contact, but did she care?

She knew he wouldn't have looked away in a blink if it wasn't for muffled footsteps followed by clicking sounds. Damn!

"Shit," hit her ears as she saw him getting up abruptly and disappearing into his shared room with Sanha and Bin.

"Woah! What did I just witness?" Jihyo squealed out, excited. Duh, this was exciting for everyone. Rocky and Ace looking at each other, unaware of the entire galaxies.

"I see a new ship, dude!" Eunwoo smirked, poking EN's cheek again, who still seemed to be lost in her slumber near Ace.

"Get lost. You didn't even take me to the room." She hit his arm.

"Where's my student? I need to show her this!" MJ waved his phone off, calling out for Seri. Who knew the poor girl was clutching her heart in a corner at the intensity of her name coming out of the lips she wanted to kiss.
No. Wait. What?

Ace didn't budge from her position, not until Somin kicked her to snap out from behind.

"Did we waste the whole day, sleeping and the whole night staying up? I mean look, the sun's about to set now!" Seri gestured over to the sky outside as they all sat in the living room.

Some having their evening tea/coffee, some busy on their phones and some quiet, looking at the sky view. Sanha, albeit was watching his favorite cartoon on the television.

"Yes I guess. It's okay to break rules sometimes." MJ pushed his phone into his back pocket, scooting over because Moonbin wanted to sit beside Jihyo.

"Where are the rules in this?" Jinjin pinched Sanha's cheek, earning a short squeal from the younger before he shifted his focus back to the tv.

"I mean, sleeping at night and not sleeping in the day are nature's rules, right?" MJ was serious, a rare case if saying.

"That's deep." Seri's gaze didn't shift from the sky she could see from the glass door.

"No." EN jumped in to the conversation, devoiding Eunwoo of her attention. "How is this deep? It's natural."

"I find it deep. I mean, who made this rule? If you think, it could've been the day that we could sleep in. You never know." Somin finally looked away from Sanha's pouting face who didn't even seem to notice her.
